These are propa too.. these are off a ambulance/paramedic Bike. they proper enough for me. :)

i know a few on here with police ones under the grill ;-)

its all about the switch i would use a jack plaug so when the jack is in you can use them but when road driving you take jack out cant be nicked ;-)

if you have any switch in the car that can be operated while driving you may well be in trouble lol

we where all young and stupid at some point well i still am relatively young lol but still my boy racer chav days of doin things like that on the roads are gone :(

Hehe :)

Im still stupid :( im just very aware im stupid these days and dont just wonder why people shake their heads :D

NNEEEEHHHHHHHH!!!

Damn, thought you were going to try high output led headlamps. saw some equivalent 7000k high output led headlamps in a prototype gt3 in January, and to say they were brighter than HIDs is an understatement. They were having issues with light focus though, but it was a prototype. Thought someone had addressed the issues and you had found some.

Lloyd that is the only way to be lol :D

Cant wait to see a video/pictures of this as a finished ish project gee.. i say ish as you are obviously not one to ever leave alone lol

Hehehehehe Freakin sweeet

Postman pat has yet again not brought me what i want!!!!! :wall: :wall: Tho he has brought me some other bits..

IMAG2329.jpg

TRS tow strap

8 gauge wire for my earthing points under the bay

connectors

and some silicone reducers for the FMIC

I got some steel to make up some mounts for my FMIC as well and used it to make a pair of brackets for my battery cover.

1x wobbly table..

IMAG2330.jpg

cut to this..

IMAG2331.jpg

to start off i scored the steel to make a hard corner

IMAG2334.jpg

IMAG2333.jpg

using my metal bending device...(also known as a railing)

IMAG2335.jpg

i ended up with this..

IMAG2336.jpg

Fits perfect..

IMAG2337.jpg

it then dawned on me that after taking the cover on and off a few times it will prob weaken the bends and brake. so i curved them instead.

here you can see the difference..

IMAG2338.jpg

One battery cover.

IMAG2339.jpg

Ill go down the garage shortly and double check its all good, then bond the brackets to the cover with tiger bond. I will also get some terminal covers to be sure that it will never short out. As for the front end going beck on.. i cannot do this till postman pat brings me 2 tubes and a pipe!! AARRGGHH!!

had them on my last car so...

Just FYI mate, this is very naughty, and you can get bent over just for having them on the car, nevermind using them ;)

7000k is nearly purple light - the Kelvin scale is for colour temperature, not output, and the higher you go after ~5000k (pure white light) the less actual output you'll get :)

i know Babs mate. As long as there is not a switch inside or that operates when the car is switched on ill be ok.

Thats where the clever bit comes in, because they go near to purple light, they outline images like a white dress on a girl in a strobe on a dark dancefloor. If I can still find the info on it, I'll link to it for you to see.

Main issues I saw at time were unit cost - in excess of £2000 per lamp!, and whether they would get VOSA approval. When I saw them, I had 5000k HID,s on my car, and I thought they were good, as they are as close to white as I've ever got - used 4300k and 6000k. They made my 5000's look like sidelamps for quality of vision and range, just took some getting used to driving behind them.

Gee, looking stonking as usual, just be on lookout for a dark metallic unmarked Leon if you hangout near Bluewater with those on - new kid on the block from you know who arrived in area last week.

Possibly the effects of being off-white being completely blown out by the sheer power behind them then?

Interested to see the tow strap poking through the bumper :)

im going to keep the tow strap behind the grills mate, and if i need to be towed or i go on a track day ill remove the grill. :)

EDIT: thinking about it, ill just have to take the bumper off as its so low anyway lol

Like it
