Sat Nav problems and fitting line out

Featured Replies

Just got a Fabia vRS SE and then i found a sat nav unit originally out of a superb laying around at work fitted it installed the gps aerial put in the disc and it receives the satellites signals and comes up with the cordinates and put me on the map in the right place but when im moving it stays still until i stop and turn the car off and reboot the system

anyone got any ideas? is there something im missing for the fabia for this to work or is it a problem with the unit?

if anyone could help that would be great!

thanks :)

Do you have the "plug & play" wires? Search "plug and play mfd" on eBay for a reference

i dont have this no is it something that has to be done?

Yeah, you`ve done the same as me I think, just had the two stock connections in the bottom (black & brown) and the little GPS aerial at the top, it was picking satellites up no problem but wouldnt show me moving on the map. There is a plug & play kit this goes between the black connector and goes in the socket half way up (long thin one). Once i`d plugged this in it took half hour or so driving then it was spot on. :thumbup:

rr = right rear

lr = left rear

rf = right front

lf = left front

the little switch with the plus = switch wire

but where are the + and - for each output? :wonder:

or am i just being a total fool and its actually really simple?! haha

Yup the plug has the cd changer in use but the line out and display sections are free
