I would fit some heated grips but from what I've read, its not worth the hassle/trouble on a 125 as they have such small batteries :( , I'm not sure about heated gloves, I don't like the ideas of extra wires running around.

IMO my options are

* fit some motorcycle muffs

* fit some wind deflectors

* Velo rule 5, MTFU :)

No more discs in the way of valves ;)

and I have one of these in the shed, it does me fine, I run it off a spare car battery I have but it's small enough to

take touring or on long trips. Can also run off the bikes battery via crocodile clips.

and finally one of these to check the pressures more accurately than the dial on the compressor suggests

Change from £20 for the lot.

A foot pump is fine too if you arent too lazy haha.

Also. Apparently those compressors at the garages arent very accurate with their pressures.

Have you seen the heated grips they use on snow mobiles?

A mate fitted these to his moped and loves them. Its a tape that you put around the bar then slide the original grips straight back over.

http://www.motosport.com/GB/motorcycle/SYMTEC-HEAT-DEMON-MOTORCYCLE-GRIP-HEATERS

Edit. Forgot to mention why i suggested these. They dont use much power and can even be used on vehicles with no battery, as they can be wired into the dynamo on trials bikes and snow mobiles etc. so power usage wont be a problem :)

That compressor is way smaller than a foot pump.

I specifically bought it for touring with as part of my emergency kit as well as a tube of tyreweld.

and a puncture repair kit  My mrs is always taking the mickey about what a boy scout I am...

Thats true :).

I've got a puncture repair kit with a couple of those little cylinders of compressed air under my seat for emergency situations.

They look interesting, going to have a read up on them.

Which one are you, the one in the red or the one in the yellow?

The standard Honda exhaust is about twice the weight of the Moriwaki, and looks like a cruise ship stuck on the side

I don't see your point

That does look a lot better than the stock item. I was looking at exhausts for mine, the weight saving is quite a lot in % terms, I'm use to cars where a lighter exhaust doesn't make much difference. Plus a slightly nicer tone will always be a winner! How long you had that Brim? I thought you had something else....

If your exhaust is anything like the exhaust on my vfr, itll take all the nice sounds out of the engine too.

Aftermarket exhausts are always the answer (:

Had it since March, Matt

I did have a Gilera 200 Runner for a short time to decide whether or not I'd like going back on two wheels after 30 years

The Honda is built for comfort, but can cruise all day at motorway speeds, give excellent economy figures, and also has a good turn of speed when you want it

What engines in it mate?

A friend of mine has hayabusa's and alsorts. Sold the lot and got one similar to yours.

He loves it. Properly good rider he is. Outruns people on bendy roads no problem, hes had many people pull up and ask him what engines in it after trying to follow him on a bendy road.

Everybody expects you to be quick on a busa, you can have a right giggle on those scooter things as nobody expects you to hoon it around he reckons.

Sounds brill to me haha

I keep looking at aftermarket exhausts for my bike but have to keep telling myself that it would be better saved for my next bike

What engines in it mate

279cc, 24bhp, standard ABS, only weighs 194kg

Ah yes the runner, how was it? I keep half thinking about one for nipping about town on, chuck my bits under the seat and a bit of weather protection. Ive have a soft spot for scooters since I was 16, now I can ride one with a big motor they seem even more appealing! :D

Got myself a bike again after a few years hiatus. I rode when I was 16 through to 18 and then it fell by the wayside really.

But now, I have brought home another MZ. I haven't seen it in daylight or had it running yet but I am very excited! I got it home, squeezed it in the garage behind a Rapid and then came away to work for two weeks. :( I'm home next week though so will see where we are. I need to get it running and also buy a new helmet (previous one was damaged following an unintended meeting with tarmac...)

Collection by 54bhp Felicia - 50mph flat out!

Runner was great, just a bit too 'teenage' for me long term

Imagine a 200cc version of the scoots the L plate boys tear around on :)

On the 125?

I wouldnt bother mate. Save it for the next one :).

125's are always revving. So with a loud exhaust it might just do your head in haha.
