On the 125?

I wouldnt bother mate. Save it for the next one :).

125's are always revving. So with a loud exhaust it might just do your head in haha.

Yes, I keep thinking about it but know its the wrong thing todo.

To be fair the bike is running fantastic at the moment, since I gave it a good clean and regapped the spark plug it pulls nice and smoothly again, I've also filled it up with V-Power :D :D & thats made it even smoother still, its almost a shame I havent used it since my last shift block but I love the fact my hands don't freeze when I cycle to work.

I'm off to see my sister on friday, just need to decide, do I take the Motorbike or the Pushbike? (70-75mile round trip) I've done the trip on both forms of transport and there is only 20-30min difference!

Good stuff :).

Motorbike. But thats only cos im lazy :). Haha.

Which one are you, the one in the red or the one in the yellow?

The standard Honda exhaust is about twice the weight of the Moriwaki, and looks like a cruise ship stuck on the side

I don't see your point

Oh Dear.

I keep looking at aftermarket exhausts for my bike but have to keep telling myself that it would be better saved for my next bike

Just ordered a falco exhaust header for the mille to make it 2-2 instead of 2-1

Should be nice, after markets do make a difference

That should sound like thunder, only deeper.

Itll be mega wont it.

Oh Dear.

So you clearly have a fetish for the Chuckle Brothers

Hardly surprising really, since you are basing your levels of wit on them

Try coming back when you have something more intelligent to say than "oh dear"

;)

So the plan not to modify my Forza has gone by the wayside

Package heading from Japan as we speak

:(

Fair play Bryan, that looks great and Moriwaki kit is proper top shelf material.

Better made than 99% of the shoite thats sold in bike shops.

Cheers, Davie

Does look way better than the almost omnipresent Akrapovic alternative

Just waiting to see how much the taxman sting me for, it's coming through UK customs now :(

You might not get caught?

I ordered some stuff from japan and never got caught with it.

I think its hit n miss isnt it?

It's showing on the tracker as being at customs at Parcelforce, Coventry, so I'm fearing the worst - will still be worth it though

Oh should free up some horses as well

Oh should free up some horses as well

Cos thats what a Mille needs? More horses? ;) haha

Runner was great, just a bit too 'teenage' for me long term

Imagine a 200cc version of the scoots the L plate boys tear around on :)

Sounds like a bit of me! I had a 125 :D My brother had a 172 too, love em. Ultimate chav mobile on two wheels but I like that. I loved my 125 but it just lacked pull, maxing out at 55-60 isnt the one, as long as I could crack a decent 80mph that'd be useful for me. Might have a scout about at them.

Thats what i thought after my cg.

Thats where it started.

11bhp

33bhp

70bhp

Now 110bhp

And im looking at 133bhp v-twin for a possible upgrade next year.

Haha, the CB is more than enough bike for me for a long time, I've looked about and cant find much that I'd swap it for. That doesnt stop me wanting another bike or two, a little scooter to hoon about town would be great, practical and cheap to run. Saves ruining the CB too, it's filthy still from a commuting on it.

Passed my test in Jan 74 on a Honda 125 which was written off 6 months later by a stupid woman pulling out of a side street without looking, broken collar bone and cut up knee.

Bought an old Triumph 3TA in bits to do up, but always had an oil leak.

Yamaha YR5 after that.

Honda XL250

Kawaski GPX750

Honda CBR1000f

Triumph SprintST 955 engine.

Fireblade 954 RR3

Yamaha Fazer1000

Kawaski 636 C1h

Aprilia Tuono - hooligans bike

Triumph Tiger 800.

Cos thats what a Mille needs? More horses? ;) haha

Alway more powwwwweeeeeeerrrrrrrrr! Lol

Seriously though it's scary how quick you get used to it

I've barely had a chance to ride mine that much recently, aside the commuting a couple of weeks ago. Past fortnight I've used it 3 times I think, each time a poo myself when I WOT it for the first time :D

Some opinions would be nice please guys!

So I've decided the vfr is just too quiet. It really doesnt sound like an 800cc V4. More like a sawing machine.

I've narrowed an aftermarket exhaust down to delkavic. Theyre apparently quite good quality and sounds brill, bring out that v4 sound. Plus dont break the bank too much, ideal. Oh and theyre just over the hill from me so im hoping to collect.

The options are...

Oval.

Or round..

What do you guys think?

Im thinking the oval might be a little less 'in your face', which would suit a vfr better?

Cheers.

I'll take a look. Cheers :)

Seems to be abit trickier finding a company that does the vtec. I think it must be because of the layout.

Scorpion do nice ones. £560 though. N im not spending that haha.

Well. I went for it.

I drove down to DK motorcycles in stoke this morning as the Delkavic warehouse is above it. Decided which one i wanted n bought it there n then.

About 90 mins fitting this afternoon as i had to take most the back of the bike off. The hardest bit was getting the old exhaust clamp off. Its 12 years old so it had siezed on abit, but got it off eventually. Fortunately the bikes got pretty much no corrosion, as its only done 18k so far. 3k done by me this summer :). I imagine its a right pain on a high mileage bike!

So anyway. Back together, and here's a pic. What dya think?

Its quite loud. But doesnt sound like a sawing machine anymore and its not as loud as my SV i had before.

Its got quite a deep bark now. Like a v4 should.

Niiice, sort a video out? Is Delkavic a UK company then? I always saw their exhausts on ebay and assumed they were Chinese or something.

I'll try to get a video tomorrow mate. Although videos dont do it justice tbh. Hard to tell through speakers isnt it.

UK yeah. Their main warehouse is in stoke but they have others in America n that i think.

Note warehouse not factory. Obv think theyre made in china tbh.

Harry at the warehouse is a top bloke (only - few people work there i think). Sorted me out no problem even though theyre usually web orders only.

Ah I see, cool, still better than nothing over here I guess.

I know what you mean about speakers, I've watched every video going of exhausts for my bike but they all sound different! Tricky decision to make.
