Feel slightly sheepish and embarrassed to call myself a 'biker', but I'm enjoying my upgrade to the Honda Forza NSS300

Bearing in mind it's meant for cruising, I've changed the standard sporty screen for a more protective Puig version

Bought black to match the Octy...............not that I've any intention whatsoever of giving it the JPS treatment

Performance is very good, superb comfort, and outstanding economy

2 wheels good 4 wheels bad and that's 2 wheels right there Brimma! I am however still disappointed to see a staggering lack of gold on it! Get your finger out, you must have a shed load of stuff lying around you could stick on!

ps. gold up those rims too :D

Could be right there, 40mpg on mine could get a bit wearing!

Has the Octy got a tow hitch? maybe a colour coded trailer to go with the bike?

So far with no attempt at all to conserve fuel I'm getting 54.9mpg average

according to my readout. Riding carefully I can get this well over 80mpg on

the instant readout which only goes up to 99.9mpg then like the Fabia it just displays

a couple of dashes.

I can only dream of 50's I think the best I've had is 45.2 and that was riding like miss Daisy, I I got for a 'blast I can see low 30's, at least the wife doesn't read this. 'is you bike better on fuel dear' yes I say but it has a really small tank, that's why I fill it every week :D

That David Beckham thing

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b046prs6/david-beckham-into-the-unknown

After 22 years playing for the world's greatest football teams, David Beckham has retired. For the first time in his adult life he has freedom to do whatever he wants and to mark the occasion he's going on an adventure. He's chosen Brazil, and he's taking three of his closest friends to join him on this once in a lifetime experience. Starting with beach footvolley in Rio, the friends travel deep into the Amazon, ending up with the remote Yanonami tribe, with David desperately trying to explain the beautiful game.

I was parked next to a Ducati 916 this morning and was struck by how small the bike was, my Sprint isn't that huge but the 916 was tiny next to it, kinda made me want to pick it up and cradle it in my arms.

Drove an hour over the border tonight to see the first showing of the film 'Road' because local cinemas were not listing it only to find out one 20 miles away WAS showing it but didn't even advertise it or have it on their own web site! At least I saw it on the only 4K screen in Ireland :D

Was great and I highly recommend it to anyone if you can get to see it. I pre-ordered the BluRay on Amazon last week it's out 29/09/2014 I think.

Just be careful of that rear shock if you go for it mate. Im sure youve heard of the problems they have.

In order to fit the engine in the frame, they had to adapt the shock. This meant a small resivour which is likely to over heat and try to kill you.

Its not too expensive to sort anyway! N theyre awesome bikes.

I cant remember if the above applies to the S or R or both tbh. Worth looking into if you dint already know though :).

Yeah it's the S that had the rotary rear damper. They sorted it for the R but it could still get a bit "lairy" lol.

As said already it is a great bike with fantastic engine, but I think it suffered from tank slappers quite often so if it doesn't have one already I would be fitting a steering damper.

Its got an Ohlins damper already fitted, first thing i checked lol.

Just stupidly quick how the Busa takes off  :o

Thing is, when I had my 'busa, i don't recall ever thinking "what this thing needs is more power"

Better pics of the new GS, done around 500 miles on it so far and loving the motor, a huge leap forward from my Twin Cam.

How are you finding the gearbox?

My dads got a 2012 GS adventure. He took the new water cooled one out for a spin and said the engine is fantastic, but the gearbox is hell crunches terribly.

Told them he'd never upgrade until they sorted that.

Is yours okay? How dya find it?

Next purchase is a CTEC battery charger to hard wire in a charging plug under the seat

so I can whack it on overnight if the bikes been stood for a while.

Hi,

With a CTEC (or similar) there is no need to put it on charge if it's been stood a while, they are designed to be attached after every ride, that way you'll never forget to have the bike on charge, it's surprising how quickly an alarm will flatten a bike battery.
