changing the sump on a mate 2002 vrs octy tomorrow after she cracked it for the second time (women drivers lol) just wondering is this hard done and is there any isues i could run into ?

PS im having VERY HARD PROBLEMS trying to remove the two bolt right up beside the flywheel,, ther at a slight angle and i cant get a socket in over them fully,,,any tips lads ?

You need an allen key with a ball on the end to get the end two. It definitely makes it a lot easier.

Oh, and don't use too much sealant on the sump. Just a thin bead (3mm or so) will do the job OK.

good advice rk696, too much sealant causes more probs than it fixes. I try to not use it tbh.

well thanks lads for the tips,,would u believe iv every other allen key other than a ball ended 5mm lol... ah well ,,i will pick one up tomor and get it done
