Case of having too.

Rear turrets were not designed for the application in hand...

Would have thought a little rear bracing would fix that...... but if you are going to do it, Do it propperly! supprised you havent gone spaceframe chassis at this point :giggle:

Your project is very similar to what is going on at Central VW Audi, Simon is in the process of putting the four wheel drive system from a TT under a G60 shell, the power will come from a TTRS unit he acquired from somewhere, should be a hell of a machine when it is done, but unlike Mr Fox his project fits in around day to day garage life and runs at a much slower pace.

Mk2 G60, Or corrado G60?

If its a mk2 G60 then its not that odd.... they did a mk2 golf G60 syncro which was ltd edition.... it had all the drivetrain from the Ralley in a std mk2 shell. common place to see a ralley with a 1.8 20vt in it they are getting harder to find with the G60 still in it.

True, but as you can appreciate Saturdays are (usually) the bread and butter days, Sundays we all go to church

Plus I should've put, and missus, as we've got a little Brisky Karting day on the Sunday (that she doesn't know about) so need to book some time off from the house.

Fingers crossed the car will get a run before then though, wouldn't want to be of one the first to know of it's existence and be the last to see it go-go-go.

If you approach your boss in the correct manner, you could attend the Skoda day at castle combe and get paid to do so, it is after all an opportunity to promote your dealership in front of lots of people, thus raising the profile of your dealership and improving sales, good luck mate, see you there.

It is G60 Mk2, it was originally a very fast diesel Mk2, he used to run it at Santa Pod and York, that engine has been sold and it is being prepared for the TTRS lump to go in it, he runs a really nice G60 as his everyday car, looks 100% stock except for wheels, but lift the bonnet and it is far from standard.

Totally agree James, this years been hectic with a lot of changes goes on at the company so haven't had time to get to any meetings etc, but next year will be different.

It's good to be able to promote the business, but just putting faces to (some unusual) names is a starting point.

Got a couple of ideas in the pipeline for 2013.

Back on topic full praise to Richard and the Jabba lads, like many I'm eagerly awaiting the birth.

I'll probably (almost certainly) be there but want to confirm how much oil it's using before I commit to another track day. Sods law I checked in the dealer and it's spot on. They've told me to check between tanks to make sure but for them to use some is "normal"

Can't wait to see this beast finished. Any more pics?

you could have fitted the ttrs engine you could have done lots of things but imo you have done the correct way with this build your goal was 400 wich is easy to get with minimal lag now and the 1.8t have been tuned and worked on for years so tuners no the ins and outs with many parts readily available and with mappers really pushing the bounderies due to more time with these ecu it and the lighter weight i think you have got this bang on the money and i expect to see a monster this year not many cars will have the speed let alone the traction this will have, awesome project glad someone is doing it

I've already stocked up on oil so should be fine I'll just have to make sure I check it between tanks. Hoping it's not using as much as first feared but we'll see. If Mr Sharkrider is making the effort to come down and this is here too then I'll try to get the time off.

Would it be wise to track a car thats dropping oil?

Would presume the oil discussion is regarding the consumption of oil by the twincharger unit, not that it's actually depositing the oil outside of the car??

No the mk2 Fabia Vrs is that much of an animal its runs on Perol and Oil... you will see an extra pump at the station next time you are filling up soon saying '1.4 Twincharger fuel'.

just beein having a ponder about this citygo. 400BHP. have you let slip what the engine is having done to it apart from a bigger blower?

Quite a bit including boring out and longer crank, so final displacement will be around 2 litres.

Plus the usual rebuild for high bhp applications etc... ;)
