New brakes will be here next week :) probably won't be fitted for the national meet though.

Then I drop my car off at AMD on the 9th august to get the diff fitted

Then up to dirty torque on the 23rd to get the turbo fitted and mapped.

Can't wait

Dirty torque's turbo supplier has had a look at the turbo and are not sure why it failed. They suggested that the crank vent might be breathing too heavily? Sounds like baloney to me.

Any way the turbo will be sorted under warranty. DT will fit it FOC and offer a discount on mapping

Never heard of that before!

Good job on getting the car all booked in etc, just a shame it's a fair time away! Be a completely different car by Combe :)

  • Author

It would be sooner Dan, but that's the first Saturday I have free now :D

Yeah will be really different for Combe :)

Do you know who they're 'supplier' is?

  • Author

No idea sorry. I'll see if I can find out

I'm not sure of their supplier either all I know him as is 'turbo guy'

Glad to hear the issues are all getting sorted with the turbo, bet you will think the car is completely different once you have the diff fitted.

Can't see how the crank case breather would damage the turbo but would like to know more about it then!

That's exactly what I thought. How can a bit of oily vapour kill a turbo within 10 minutes??

No way, sounds like *******s, the excuse to say 'just this once we'll fix it'

Painted the rear calipers red

And gave her a good wash, then the rain came

At the end of the day if they actually believe that the reason the turbo broke was because of your car then they would never repair it not even once so sounds like a load of rubbish they are making up! Hope everything is well charlie and it is back with more power soon!

Thanks Adam, won't be long til it's sorted :)

How have you been buddy? What car have you got lined up now?

I'm new on here but had and currently have a Seat Leon Cupra R and am thinking about changing for one of these for something cheaper to run etc.

Your car is a massive inspiration! The mods are impressive as are the videos of the Piper exhaust! I have one on my LCR (non res cat-back) mated to a 3" Milltek downpipe and decat and it sounds epic. Gotta love Piper!!!

Epic vRS mate, nice work. :)

Yeah, a couple of the clips had broken.

The next track session you'll see that it was removed :)

Its a nice motor mind... Good inspiration for mine ;)

My grille surround was flapping about too! Removed for the second session also!
