  • Ta da. This happened this afternoon, I'm very pleased it.     Luckily I was able to pull off the main road and stop at the right time. My Maths was obviously right when I reset the trip.

  • I had to do this once I realised it was possible.............(i.e. I hadn't passed the mileage yet, so could reset the T1):

  • TaDa     As you can see I've dusted too! :p

Shame I just missed the trip, but I tried.

Next stop, all the 1s

Jim, next stop should be to buy a duster for that dash!!!!! Lol

Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to do it before I have to set the trip in the right place. The rest of the dash is probably in need of a good clean too.

Todays generic tick over, so didn't even bother resetting trip etc.

I must say Jim, I admire not only your commitment to the cause but also your ability to work out when to reset the trip computer.  Very well done.

The last one was easy to work out as all numbers were the same. It's harder to work out to get all numbers in sequence. Next will probably be 123,456 miles and 789 trip which will be tricky.

Doing it 100K miles less meant it had to be to the tenth of a mile, resetting the trip to be within 1/10th tolerance to the actual odo flip over, required some careful planning!

Proof of above and that it was taken all nice and safely tucked into a layby. Car is minging covered in crap  :(

That's what I was so fearful of for the 12345 678.9 one I did in the old Octy. :o

I missed the opportunity for 98765 432.1 as OH took the car, will clock up 100,000 in next day or 2.

Is that 279 mpg?

Yes it is, but I'm guessing it's because I was off the throttle trying to get a pic!  Averaging about 47mpg.

On this day Friday 5th June, year of our Skoda 2015. The 2001 Octy TDi hit 50K :o

She is a high miler now :(

Once I got to work this morning and checked it after idling for a few minutes, the average MPG for the 30 miles from cold on crapy roads... She is starting to loosen up :D

Pulled on the drive and noticed 99,999, went out half hour later and clicked up the magic 100k.
