The Fab is going into my local independent VW specialist today to have a couple of bits fitted, will update this later with some much needed photos :)

So the weather has ruined my plans to give the Fabia a detail today  :(

Oh well, means I can get on with some uni work I guess.

Please excuse how dirty the car is.

After driving a few miles with the Powerflex dogbone mount installed I have noticed that the keys now jingle on idle but that doesn't really bother me. The car does feel less reluctant to go now when you put your foot on the go pedal so overall I'm happy with it. For the cost it is definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

I'm loving the exhaust, the sound is addictive! I went for the Piper 0 silencer catback system, ordered from Rob at W8 Performance, very good service even though he was really ill when I phoned him.

Very happy with the recent mods I've done, it looks so much better than it did a number of weeks ago!

Will probably be it for a while now.

Thanks for looking

Nice looking car looks similar to mine at the moment (winter mode)

I must ask as I have just fitted the dogbone bush too, are you really happy with it? because i'm not. I don't feel it offered anything apart from a reduction in the refinement of the car. Yes it feels sporty but sporty in the same way my dads 306 dturbo feels sporty.

Just having a moan as It is common that opinions on forums are sometimes to cover up an error in judgement. I'm not massively chuffed with my mount and I can admit it.

Fair play if that what you wanted though!

Thanks dude, yours is the silver vrs I see in the UKC car park isn't it?

I am happy with it for what it cost me, I do know what you mean though. It feels to me that the engine pulls quicker now, rather than feeling slightly reluctant when you put your foot down. As though it doesn't rock back a bit before the rest of the car moves now.

I know what you mean about opinions on forums, people don't want to admit they might have made a mistake and been wrong.

Have you thought about fitting a new OEM dogbone mount instead of the Powerflex one? Might solve the issue.

Great update Tom..../ and that's not dirty, you wanna see my silver Fab :giggle:

Cheers mate, haha it feels really dirty to me!

Have been reading your thread, good going on the latest mods!

I've got an EGR delete kit in the garage waiting to be fitted, not sure whether to tackle it myself. How was it in the end?

Can't always predict these things mate. Still good progress :)

Cool, they're the bit i'm worried about to be honest. Might give it a go myself when I know i've got all the tools and some semi decent weather.

I followed this to the T......

I removed the top boost pipes and cam cover to give me extra room.... on Dan's guide there's a picture with the 2 Allen heads circled and once removed all those bits above, I put the small key in and used a closed spanner to push against the key.... after a bloody good douse with penetrating spray :)

Honestly nothing to worry about..... I did and wasn't worth it

I have had a quick look at that mate, if I do it I'll definitely follow it!

As I say the only bits I'm worried about are the 3 Allen key bits.

Will have to tackle this myself then I reckon :)
