  • Back in January 2015 I bought a 2.0 CR turbo after reading the Yeti Greenline big turbo build, and proceeded to get a quote from Shark Performance for fitting, but up until now didn't have the bottle

  • The monster is dead, and is now back to plain white, and with the anthracite TDs replaced by a set of white vRS Gigaros   I know they'll be a pain to keep clean, but I definitely prefer the look

That really is the best compliment I could wish for

:)

Very nice Mr brimma, a perfect daily! Don't these get huge gains from a bit of shark wizardry too?

Thanks, and yes, the Shark map has made the world of difference between a very ordinary car and a very interesting car to drive :)

You're welcome - it's lovely, I did have a quick eBay for mk2 estates after reading through the thread!

I missed your post on the map, what sort of power increase did it achieve?

About 130bhp on the rolling road, probably not the biggest figure you'll see quoted, but on the road it's superb

Car looks stunning, Seriously one of the nicest I have seen. Wheels suit the car a tee.

Makes me want a diesel estate now!!!

Just added a bit of paint under the bonnet to brighten it up a little

what paint did you use on the engine cover and where are the gas struts from?

I like a lot......but why put a VRS badge on when it isn't a VRs?

No badge = Perfect

The clue is in the word 'replica' :)

How far could you have safely pushed the new turbo? This basically is a Vrs now with that sort of power

Really like this, the car Skoda should of produced.

I didn't ask really, as it was never my intention to push it too far

Ben did say at one stage he got 406nm, but wound it back a bit, and we always wanted to avoid it kicking out a smokescreen

I think everyone agrees with that, it will remain a mystery why they decided against a Mk2 diesel vRS

Nice car!

Would it not have been possible to remove the DPF and still got a nice smokeless map put on it?
I know the DPF helps reduce smoke but they strangle the engine a bit.

It would, I'm just not keen on it potentially failing an MoT

They;re ok to remove for the MOT just now as it's a visual inspection only so as long as a box that looks like a DPF is present, it's a pass even if it's empty.

Does it feel any laggier with the bigger turbo?
