Hi! just joined the briskoda crew! recently brought a fabia vrs want to get rid of the chrome around the grill, looks terrible! whats the best way to do it? is it easily removed? can it be sprayed? or wrapped??

Dead easy to take out all u need is a flat head screwdriver ull see wer the clips are wen u lift the bonnet up... and u can wrap or spray it ur choice

If you are going to spray yourself, give the chrome a good sanding. Makes the primer then paint stick much better. I managed to get decent results so really isn't the most difficult job 

I just used plastidip. Didn't sand or prime and it looks great.

As above. To take it off I removed the whole grill, only 4 bolts but makes it easier to unclip the chrome bit without breaking the clips. I then rubbed it right down for ages so I could spray it (wanted it the right colour)

I seen a bonnet bra that looks like it covers the grill surround aswell, has anyone got one? or seen one? looks pretty mega

i didnt like the chrome either,

luckily i had a spare chrome surround, i sanded it down

Sprayed it matt black

and BOOM, FINITO,

Thanks for the pics Mike. Am going to do it that way now, just wondered if it would look silly spraying it a different colour to the rest of the body but it doesn't look that way.

I thought it would look crap if it was a different colour black but looks good you got any better pics?? Thinking of doing mine a Matt black to now was worried about getting a good finish/match doing it in black magic

The grille lines up pretty well with the number plate holder so matte black doesn't look too bad on any of the colours. 

 

Personally i really like the colour coded ones. 

 

But for £3.50 i dont mind the vinyl on mine!
