  • A few pics of the deeper red colour when the sun is down, brothers in arms.

  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

Crisis time...

Been offered another R32 GT-R in the same lovely red colour that's running 600bhp and needs some work.

For a sensible price, only £1,000 over some people are paying for Fabia VRS SEs!

:(

NO!

...And business doesn't work on a set margin, you charge what the going rate is and what you can get away with.

pretty much sums it up for the latest models, I suppose they argue they have to claw back deveelopment costs etc. The major manufacturers do it as well, 2013/14 Alloy wheel for Golf GTD £700 plus vat. Mk 6 GTD 2012 wheel circa £150. Slight variations in style but not poles apart.

NO!

Could be a bargain! ;)

How does the 600bhp gtr compare to yours?

Fixer upper and sell?

Sounds like a great price though

Slightly faster in a straight line, not as good in the corners.

Overall slower.

Maybe!

Depends on the driver.. besides you like going backwards around corners ;)

Only if I get bored of going sideways! :D

Does it have the extensive engine work yours has? Or would it be a buy it and find out sort of thing?

Quite a bit of work done on it Charlie.

Inner Demon says strip it out and make a beast...

But we all know that's not sensible.

Last thing I need is a(nother) track car... :/

Very difficult decision for you, can you test drive it first and know what exactly is involved in making right? If yes and relatively easy on the second part as long as you're happy with the extra power and what it takes to make nice then do so. As long as at the end of it you can get as more enjoyment, or equal to your current 32.

But theirs the other edge of more power isn't necessarily a good thing (I know shock horror). I prefer well set up cars that perform to over engineered ones that don't.

As Cilla says... the decision is yours... or that voice that used to narrate that part.... :D

Drift car?

Do it!! You know you want to!!!

Drift car?

Is that even possible?

I mean, I know Skylines don't make good bases for Time Attack (too heavy unless you can find a race-prepared GP A car to tune), and 4WD doesn't seem likely to work for driving drift.

There are some Skylines in Time Attack as they are not too bad for a 4WD twin turbo at under 1,500kg stock.

It's the newer R35 version that's the big fattie at 1,800kg.

Admittedly they always struggle against well set up Evos though.  Stripped out those can get down to a lower weight.

The Skyline is popular for drifting, but they remove the front wheel drive, or just start with a lower spec RWD version.

Drifting is not really my thing though.

Really? The last time i was in this at Brands, it seemed like you quite enjoyed drifting through Graham Hill Bend :P

Quicker than an SE, I look forward to how this develops..........

;)

Could it be bought for the bargin price, made good and then sold to further fund your current R32?

Could be stripped out and turned into a real weapon...

I've never wanted to take my R32 that far because it's in great condition, looks almost stock and still has the original interior.

What condition is this other one in?

"well used"

Won't know until it's collected and inspected.

I know it's got a bit of rot in it though.
