VCDS Tweaks for O3

Featured Replies

Yep, without memory seats there isn't anything to store the position. All I can see is that it dips the mirror a pre-determined amount from whatever position it was in before you engaged reverse. So, not the same as memory mirrors where you store the position, it just dips it x degrees from wherever it was before.

Better than nothing though!

Wouldn't mind this on mine.

Also really miss the 'last drops' wipe of the front and rear wipers i had on my mk2.

Has anyone come across where to code the led number plate light option?

  1. STG 09 (Bordnetz) auswählen
  2. STG Zugriffsberechtigung -> Funktion 16
  3. Freischaltcode 31347 eingeben
  4. STG Anpassung -> Funktion 10
  5. (1)-Leuchte25KZL HA59-Lasttyp 25 auswählen
  6. Wert auf 43 anpassen

  7. (6)-Leuchte25KZL HA59-Dimmwert AB 25 auswählen
  8. Wert auf 127 anpassen

Anmerkung: Beim VW Händler durch Maßnahmencode 381AA ebenso freizuschalten

That roughly translates into (Google Translate):

Activation of the LED License Plate Light

in the wipers you have the possibility in the case of the VW Golf 7 Unlock retrofitted LED number plate lights. In this way, no more error message in the instrument cluster (Schalttafeleinsatz)

the following coding to be applied shall be:

STG 09 (on-board) select
STG Access -> Feature 16
unlock code enter 31347
STG adjustment -> function 10
(1)light25Kizie HA59-Load Type select

Has anyone found any settings related to the electric power boot for the estate? I'd be interested in being able to close it from the key-fob, not just open it.

Problem is, it isn't coding for most things anymore, it is changing settings on adaptation channels.

Until Ross-Tech finish documenting them all (and in English instead of German!) there will be a lot we won't be able to do.

Also, Component Protection is active, so some modules need a Security Access code, and some changes will flag up SVM (Software Version Management) which means a trip to the dealers to be hooked up to VAS for them to accept and permanently store the changes, otherwise things just stop working.

From what I am hearing, VCDS can't do a variable service reset properly on a MQB yet! (according to the Golf forums)

46. Electric tailgate open and close with the AB button( under investigation)

What's an AB button?

What's an AB button?

fob and cluster button I think.  they are labelled a,b,c in the manual

Woo, I would love it for the fob button to work!

Hello Antera,

32. Threshold speed cornering lights ( standard 32km / h )

About that standard is maxim or minim? And you managed to activate cornering?

Changing to any speed you like. I didn't test it at like 100ml/h because its hard to see iff it still works on the higway :-)

And iff the car don't have Cornering function. This option is "out off range"

Looking for the option to activate Cornering lights i didn't find it yet. I think you must activate this in adaption somewhere

What's an AB button?

The Keyfob button indeed

I did this coding to but it didn't work on 2 O3's wich have this not standard. U think because there is no Camera for it

Edited by Antera

It is possible to recode the electric trunk to open and close wicht the remote and the button in the car.

Also the warning sound you can disable

Just like the S2

If it is possible, how do you do it then?

Hi, does anyone know the VCDS password / access code for the MY 16 Octavia 3?  The one quoted in this topic - 31347 -  did not work for me.

What module?

What module?

Module 17 (instruments) was one - I would also like to get into comfort flash and dipping passenger on reverse. Does each module have a separate access code?

Warriort193

Yes most controllers use a different log in code, some modules (ABS for instance) use multiple codes depending on what you want to change.

For 17 - Instruments try 25327 or 20103

Great, thanks Gizmo I'll try that.

VCDS usually prompts you with the correct access code for adaptations for each module in my experience? Sometimes it takes a second or so to appear though.

What version of VCDS are you using?

Hi Skodaphile, I was using V15:7 when I first tried - but I have recently updated to V16:8. I didn't see any prompts given for the access code, but I might have simply missed it, I will look more closely next time I run it. Does anyone know if rain closing, enable SOC meter, dipping passenger mirror (non-auto seats) and change convenience flash (lane change) are all achievable on MY 16 units?
