Best All Round Tyres! (VRS)

Featured Replies

Best all round (price, wear, noise, wet and performance) for me are Khumo KU39's.

Had these on mine and my previous car and can confirm they are definitely a great all rounder for the price. I now have Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's, which are leagues ahead in terms of performance but then they are double the price..

Yes I find the "all round" tyres work better. The oblong and square ones are crap!

Currently still on Toyos T1Rs or whatever they are called. Not too bad as all round mid range budget but could consider others.

Down to Kumhos.....cheap but eventually wear uneven, noisy, might even possibly be low on economy too as I saw my MPG drop when I was using them.

They weren't as good wearing as my original Bridgestones either so possible only equal or less value for money, could be false economy.

I'm tempted to go back to my original 16 wheels though (well switching wheels for a time at least) and opt for 195s for better comfort. Maybe premium brands cheaper in this size.

KUHMOS!!!!!!!

Not Uniroyal Rainsport 2's. Sidewall is too soft and it does my nut in.

Lovely and comfy though. :)

Flip side of that is thinking that every jolt on a ****tily formed speed bump or "road cushion" is knackering the sidewalls.

Another advocate for Michelin PS3's.. Not cheap, not the quietest either but very good all round, good road feel, and freakishly grippy round corners in the wet..

Fronts have lasted me a good 11 months and 10k miles still have plenty of tread left..

I've just had RS2's fitted and i'm impressed especially for the price. (£65 a tyre) No doubt their are better tyres  out their but you'll have to pay to get them.

Personally, I wouldn't say they were lovely and comfy. They are terrible for road noise, I have no faith in them over the smallest bump/hole in the road and contrary to belief they are not "Excellent" in the rain.
