Best All Round Tyres! (VRS)

Featured Replies

I'm sure this subject may have been covered but it is that time again where I am going to need some new rubber! (sadly)

So..I'm hoping to find out the best all round tyre for good grip at a fair price. I've had budget and I found they wore away too quickly.

The most expensive tyres I've ever bought were Toyo Proxies for an old Pug 306 and I have to say I was impressed.

I know a good tyre fitting place who would fit pre-bought tyres and probably order some in.

so..where does everyone buy and what?!

Proceed!  :giggle:

(thanks for help lol)

Best all round (price, wear, noise, wet and performance) for me are Khumo KU39's.

At this stage I'm thinking there are a lot of different tyres lol.

Was hoping I'd be able to find a decent slightly above budget.

Try tyrereviews.co.uk and input Fabia vRS; it lists 33 or so different tyres fort eh car, with reviews on wet grip, dry grip, feedback, progressiveness, wear, comfort.

Ah brilliant I'll give that a go thanks!

I've been running Uniroyal Rainsport2 on mine for years, great tyre, loads of wet grip (I've never run out of grip) and they're lasting really well. They aren't much more than the Kumhos.

Im thinking you do have to spend a fair bit to get decent grip looking at these reviews. Maybe I should put my rear tyres on the front as they are Maxxis Z4S' and shove some budgets on the rear.

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's here.  Been running on them for over a year and found they transformed my grip in the wet, and were also rated as a quiet tyre which was important to me as I found the previous ones (Eagle F1's) noisy, and the Fabia is renowned for cabin noise/poor sound deadening.  Was a toss up between these and the Rainsports when I last bought tyres, but decided to give these a try as they had the best overall rating for grip/noise/price.  Seem to be wearing OK from what I can tell.

Mich PS3s here, great all rounder but not cheap.

That's why I went with the khumo's as they're only £50 odd each but still performed really well in all conditions for that price. :)

I'm warming to Khumos!

uniroyal RS3

SWMBO had Rainsport 2's on her last car, great tyres but soft sidewalls, always looked under inflated.

Fwiw, put your ****e tyres on the front, not the back.
