  • This should help clear up a few confusions about "how hard it looks" or "where does this wire go".   My kit arrived a moment ago, and in this pic I've laid it all out nice and neat. You have the 2x

  • It's not the ballast that is the problem, like I said they were both sides secure on the slam panel already at this stage. It's the bulb. For some reason I just can't get these new holders to twist in

  • These are the pictures you REALLY want to see!   Can you tell which one is the Monte?          And my personal favourite...     I do have a couple of snaps of dipped & main beam

Opened the Parcel and Not Happy....They sent me some bloody bulbs which were ordered via Ebay by some German Bloke... :(

Looks like they've put someone else's goods in my box and sent it to me by mistake.

Email to the customer services prepared and will send it tomorrow if nothing arrives in the morning as I'm still hoping it will as I have checked my account on the HIDs website and items are still marked as shipped but not delivered... :wonder:

Will see what happens tomorrow.

Not happy bunny as I really want to fit these on Thursday... :@

not the best pictures. I popped my packs on top of the lights and secured with cable ties. which also for me makes it easier for removal. if you cut off the grommets attached to the wiring you can with a bit of a wiggle get the plugs through the holders. just make sure that they are the right way round lol. took me 35 mins. with the diesel filter. I unclipped the plastic lugs and i just lifted it out the way. It's only the fuel pipes that get in the way.......

should see where ive mounted mine! 3M tape is amazing.

So a quick question... does this kit only change the dipped beam not just the main beam? im really confused here!

Edited by daz1412

so if I want my dipped beam and main beam to be HID would these do the job?

I dont want just a dipped beam HID

EDIT: so from what I can make out to convert both my main beam and dipped beam i'd need to buy 2 kits as they are 2 completely different bulb systems?

vRS with standard reflector lights - yes if you wanted HID dipped and main you would need two kits I believe.

Well... that sucks! thanks for the info though! this forum has saved me hours of stressing!

Would you advise maybe getting HID dipped beam and then good quality main beam bulbs? or just buy 2 kits?

Yes! HID's for Dip Beam, Nightbreaker Ultimates for Main Beam!  B)

As someone in this thread has said, The 'Cycle' life of the Main Beam unit (if using HID's) would be quite short as they don't like being 'Turned on and Turned off' too much! You'll burn out the Main Beam set in no time!!

^ what he said...;)

That was meee. Woo.

N yeah. I soon went back to high performance halogens for high beam.

Although hids were super awesome for middle of the night driving, where no one else is on the road. Especially if you want to get a move on.

That was meee. Woo.

Right...I have HID Kit Fitted to my car now...6000k one. Huge, mahooosive Thanks to Johny5ive for helping (he actually fitted these for me).

I had a pleasure driving home with this kit on and what a difference....! I'm not going to write any review or what I think about these...

JUST DO IT AND FIT THE HID KIT TO YOUR FABIA IF YOU HAVE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS...! It's the best safety upgrade to yor car and you'll finally be able to see in the dark. Don't waste you money on Super Duper H7 Osram or Philips bulbs as these will never match the performance of the HID lot. It's worth the money and investment. Can looks soo much better and I feel safer behind the wheel when it's dark.

I can't recommend this enough...!
