Who's got the dirtiest car?

Featured Replies

Whats the dirtiest you've had your car?

I was away camping this weekend in the Lake district. and oh shock, rained persistently for a lot of the weekend.

The camp site was down a small single track lane full of puddles, rocks and roots.

My poor little Fabia ended up in a right mess afterwards, including some scraping the underside of the car.

After a quick wash on Monday it is almost back to its former glory (still in need of a good seeing to though)

The dirtiest I've ever had my car was almost 2 months ago just before I started cleaning my car properly, I drove down one road and it went from being not too bad to looking like a rally car!

Here's the before shots from the thread in my sig below:

Is that a jack or an anti-grav lift. I'm shaking just looking at the height of the Roomster!

Poor Octavia, Have you been taking it rallying or something?

I know its not a Skoda, but this is my old company car whilst working away on the Fens last winter, the bloke at the car wash wasn't to happy when I rocked up with it looking like this!

That's just a layer of salt from last winter. No wonder arches tend to go first on older cars!

I was going to say Silver1011 has it.. but I think  that Yeti takes it now lol

I would tend to agree.... LOL

I just can't read this thread!!!!!! Argh.......argh.......!!!

Never mind Chris!

I bought a 4x4 to use it and take part in my hobby, therefore it I expect it to get muddy or dusty. That was on the WyeDean Rally in the Forest of Dean on the way into the Stage. By the end of the day I had probably driven around 25 miles off road and the mud was even thicker along the bottom!! That picture actually won me an autographed rally jacket on a competition run by Skoda on their Facebook page! Today it has been out doing Finish Control on a stage of the Severn Valley Stages Rally, and has a slight coating of mud along the sills and wheel arches, so I expect SWMBO will expect it to be washed tomorrow. Weather permitting I'll get the hose out in the morning.

Plus where I live, even if I cleaned it, within a couple of miles it will be muddy (or excremented) again.

Yeah...  I wish the local horsey types had to poop-scoop their nags. like dog owners!  Inevitably driven over, then deposited in our driveway - only to be walked over to bring traces indoors.  :swear:

Around here it's not even that! The amount of mud left from tractors and also off of the verges is huge I travel a back road to get to work and my car can be perfectly clean when I set off but have lumps of mud on it by the time I reach work

You lot aren't even trying!!

Don't you think that the Yeti actually looks good dirty?

On a different note, Hope you had a good day yesterday Graham at the Severn Valley, was hoping to go. What a tragic shame about the incidents at the Jim Clark.

Brijo,

I think fitting nappies to thousands of sheep would be a bit impractical!! The bigger problem is general off-wash from the land, but when we have some of the highest rainfall in Wales it has to be expected!!

Jerbear,

Excellent day yesterday and even met a fellow Yeti owner who was navigating in an Avenger, and who finished for once!!

Great shame about the events on the Jim Clark and my condolences to all the families involved and to those who had to deal with it.

....and to those who had to deal with it.

Indeed.  The volunteers, especially, are often overlooked.

Muddy yes, dirty no, you can still read the number plate :D

Seeing that photo makes me wonder why Skoda didn't design the rear wiper so that it perfromed a full 180 degree arc.

Attention to detail, the Range Rover's rear wiper does, I wonder if RR's cost more than Skoda's!?
