Castrol Edge 5w40 - TD vs non-TD in Petrol?

Featured Replies

Quick question - ordered some Castrol Edge 5w40 for my Fabia 2.0 but I just realised that I got 4L of the TD version and 1L of the non-TD. Both versions are certified to 502.00/505.00 which is what I my manual specifies, is there any issue with using the TD in a petrol engine?

From what I read of that long sticky about oils that Opie Oils posted, I get the impression it wouldn't cause any problems, but just wanted to check with the more knowledgeable in case it negates spending the extra £15 or so on the fancy oil!

Doesn't matter a monkeys for your application :)

As I hoped/suspected. And bravo for your use of 'monkeys'. Cheers.
