No dude just doors and wings but passenger front and wing are being collected soon. Don't want ote for um just free to collect

Started welding the cage in tonight should hopefully get it finished off tomorrow when I get in from work. TIG welding on your knees huddled in a corner is alot more difficult than on a nice work bench.... Still its going well and looking good only set the under seal on fire a few times. Pictures to follow

steering rack finally turned up yesterday so i can now concentrate on the front sub frame and get the engine mounted. Cage is in progress a few more hours and it will be finished.

Great work as usual Ben! Are you going to cover the cage with some sort of Styrofoam to safeguard and bumps and bruises?

will see how it all sits when the bucket seats are in don't think it will be necessary tbh

boot floor is out, slight issue is that the chassis legs at the back are not symmetrical which makes the initial part of the sub frame a little more complex to measure and fabricate

more work done on saturday....

couldn't find my ratchet strap to pull the wish bones in so will grab one tonight and pop them in. Still some more fabrication to be done before the block can be lined up but you get the idea. Forecast rain most of the week so will probs end up doing something else other than welding unfortunately

bike project got sold a few weeks back to free up space and cash

other end of the engine mounts made, these will be welded to the chassis. Steering rack mount bar also under way

 

engine needs to go at least 2" back into the bulkhead in order for the steering rack to be mounted in the correct position so the arms at a sensible angle. Because the oil pump is located at the 'front' on the 20vt i can't really notch or modify the sump so back the block much go. Made a new bracket for the block yesterday for the drivers side as the first one simply wouldn't have worked as i wanted. Steering rack will be mounted in the cross member/ sub frame later on today as didn't have time last night. Wishbone fitted for mocking up and measuring purposes which will at some point very soon be treated to a new coat of paint along with the hubs. Once i have removed the full wiring loom i can start to cut out the bulk head. All things such as brake and clutch lines will be re routed, heater matrix feed and return ports will be completely changed as going for one of those lightweight compact heater matrix units as by the time the gearbox is sat between the two front seats the original simply will not fit at all.
