Is it possible that your car's already mapped?

I've heard of some mappers "locking" the ecu so it can't be mapped by other tuners.

I havnt a clue charlie, if the turbo hadnt gone i would have had it on the rollers on sunday lol

being this is my first vRS i cant say if it is or not.

Get another opinion from someone who's driven a fair few or you and Charlie swap cars on Monday

Mines a little bit more than a stage 1 map though :D

But yes you're welcome to give it a go

Ben's is a stage 1 map.

But I doubt much car swapping will happen if it rains...passenger rides, I'm sure. :D

Find someone with VCDS - get them to access 01-Engine, 08-Measuring Blocks, Group 011 - and look at the two boost readouts.  One is specified, one is actual.  On a full throttle pull boost if stock should be about 1.3 bar, so readout on VCDS will be about 2300 to 2350 peak.  If it goes up to around 2500 or 2600, safe to say its been mapped. :)

So today I popped up to Geeman as Richard had dropped some drive shafts off to him.

got home around 6pm and was determined to get them changed over. So went to my mums place to use her garage :D

God bless electric lighting!

Did both sides and been out eversince on an extended test drive. Very impressed. Seems a few other tweaks ive made have made it alot more positive to drive :D

Brands Hatch? BRING IT ON! :)

Just OE replacement drive shafts?

I need the front end of my car sorting when I have the cash. Clutch etc as well as FARB and steering. Would love to get a diff.

Yea its amazing what difference just changing worn out parts can make! :D

wanna swap engines? :p

you know your brakes cant handle the power, my brakes can.... swaps-ys?

You never know what's around the next corner.... S4 or GTB2260.... :D

I think you've got this set up well now.

After your little expedition I wanted to see how it went and the answer is very well.

Smooth power, decent handling and quicker than people would expect.

Personally I think you should keep it.

Otherwise you'll only end up with some complete pish taker trying to insult you with a stupid offer.

The fun, parts etc.. the car represents are way above it's value IMO.

Like you, I'm sure it's already been mapped too, because it's quicker than it should be!

I agree Richard, definitely feels like it's been mapped

Taylor has a natural talent for track driving I have to say :)

And it's more reliable than an Alfa :)

Yes he is quick, I noticed when he borrowed the Fiesta ST.

I caught your drift on camera :D

Waiting for the videos to upload :)

Are you running spacers with these wheels? They look rather good from the pic in the Evil Fabia thread.

You caught it fairly easily, no dramas :p

Shame i couldnt do it earlier in the day, Seen the video? both from Gees perspective and mine.

Quite spectacular!

Both times it was caused by dabbing the brakes in the completely wrong place of the bend. Lesson learnt ;)

Just waiting to see if anyone else has got any videos of it before adding in the Swan Lake
