When it's remapped it'll hold the power much better through the rev range.

Have to wait and see! :)

Or not see if it's a smokey map ;)

It won't be, not on a stage 1 from most places.

Hopefully the turbo will last this time haha

Pre-map the Yeti (diesel) ran out of puff around 3,500.

Afterwards it kept going to the redline.

It's done pretty well so far :)

Good Point, Ria's VRS seemed to be very clean on Sunday and IIRC she has a Stage 1 Shark map too!

In what way? lol my first track day in it i broke quite a few things haha

Speaking of which at college today the CV joint started really knocking. so its now my No.1 Priority to swap the driveshafts

The turbo I meant :) will easily cope with the stage 1 map.

You can almost push 200bhp and still run clean

People who make comments about smoky maps at stage 1 have little experience, so just banter.

Any half decent map shouldn't smoke at stage 1, they are tried and tested.

Yeah I was just joking I've not got a clue about remaps in all honesty :)

Its become quite a long thread so i thought I would just do a list of all the work/progress/parts so far:

17" OZ MSW 24 Black Edition Alloys with Yoko Neova 215/40 R17 tyres

312mm Brembo Front Discs with Ferodo DS2500 Pads.

AP Coilovers

Airtec FMIC

Darkside EGR Delete (not yet fitted)

Jabba Rear ARB

New Top mounts

New Lower Ball joints

New Console Bushes

New Track Rods (both sides) & Reconditioned Steering Rack

New Head gasket

New Timing Belt, Tensioners and Water pump

New Brake Master Cylinder

New Air Filter

Replacement Garett PD130 Turbo

Following the KKK Turbo Failure I flushed the oil with a new filter and 5L of oil then spun a new oil filter on with another 5L of Mobil 5W30 VW 507,00 Spec.

Replacement Driveshafts (to be fitted this weekend)

Then other little bits like new bolts pretty much everwhere new hub nuts etc.

After seeing a long list like that, it certainly gets worrying haha

Jeez I didn't realise you'd done so much, certainly seems to be a sorted car.

... and it's being mapped as well?

It's going to be an interesting day seeing how this beast runs. :D

Very much so, here's hoping it all gets better from now on!

Unfortunately the Map wasnt possible today, connected it all up and the software couldnt connect to the car.

So the Map has been delayed till a later date, but is still planned for possibly next week! :)

Bummer... bit like me and the brakes... just one of those things. Still looking forward to Monday... even if it's with crap brakes LOL.
