I have Keechy's number so when I saw this thread this morning I texted him and he told me he has just this weekend got back from holiday. Having met the guy to pick up my own strut, I can say he is a decent straight up lad and he said in his reply that he will be logging on today so hopefully this will get sorted.

Sorry guys been on hols not had chance to look at any inboxes whatso ever. I will check with courier company tomorrow. As for the mk3 guys still waiting for delivery on extra struts sorry. They did say 1st week of November estimate. I will keep you posted. Sorry I haven't been on here.

Finally got round to trying to fit it, anyone got a guide for MK1 Fabia??

 

cannot figure out how the bracket goes on, tried to loosen the 2 star bolt holding bonnet on but these would not budge even with lots of swearing, WD40 and a socket/hammer combo!

Nothing yet guys, if nothing by tomorrow I wil get back into them.

Just got round to fitting my Fabia ones today, seem really good! Nice and easy to fit, bonnet isn't affected at all, sits perfectly fine.

On a side note, did the difference in exchange rate cover the extra postage costs? Or did superskoda cover the extra costs? We wouldn't want you out of pocket for their mistake.

Exchange rate should not be an issue as the order was placed and paid for in full weeks ago, and the deal included postage to the UK.

Yep may have mis-remembered it, just taking it from his original post saying:

I got 1 plus fitting kit for the other one.  IIRC SS fecked up the order (nothing new there!) and Keechy's doing everything he can to get it sorted.  Thankless task but I appreciated what he's done for us all, even if it hasn't gone quite to plan.

I'm in the same (Mk3) boat as you. I know what a major pain in the "a" organising something this big can be, especially when you have aggro from the suppliers, and I also know that the rest of one's life can throw some unfortunate curveballs, so I don't want to dump on the bloke, but a little soupcon of communication would not only be nice but would go a long way.

Does anybody have any contact details (other than a pm here) where one could send a very calm and pleasant e-mail politely requesting an update? I mean, if the worst has come to the worst, I could maybe considering going down to South Wales and getting them and then sending them out myself.
