Sorry.  2007 Octavia 2.0TFSi vRS.

Depends how you drive! If that was me 33mpg would be shockingly good :P

It's a good mix of A roads and urban.  I admit I drive like the vicar on a Sunday a lot of the time. :D

I average 30-35 in my 2003 1.8 vrs

Is that indicated or measured at the pump?

Should be able to get more like 36-37 but will generally only get 20-25 for the first 5 miles and then 37 after that I find.

That is indicated on the information screen, I've only had the car for just over a week and I don't think the average mpg zeros when the trip zeros for some reason.  I'll try working it out at the pump when I fill it up again.  If I can get 35 or more I'll be very happy, everything I read prior to buying the car said it could get up to mid thirties mpg which is excellent for such a big, powerful car.

Sorry. 2007 Octavia 2.0TFSi vRS.

Might be worth posting in the Octavia specific section.

The long-term average mpg resets itself every 100 hours of driving, the short-term average, resets after approx 2 hours after finishing a trip.

If you do a days running around with only shortish breaks in-between trips, then the mpg will be a sum of all the days travelling, as for resetting the trip mileage after a refill, or any other reason, that operation does not affect the mpg figures.

SMWBO'S  'II  2.0TSi Octy vRS DSG is showing 36.5 mpg on the long-term average, but that's after a 257 bhp re-map, indicating perhaps that she is using the increase in bottom-end grunt rather than revving the nuts out of it to maintain reasonable progress.

For myself, I ran an '07 manual 2".0 TFSi  for a while & that manged 35.1 mpg over 13K miles, calculated by dividing the total mileage covered by the fuel consumed.

Again, a remap probably helped, but it was driven "briskly", but using the torque rather than the revs.

I think I need to read the instructions (oh the shame!) for the information centre.  I'll be doing an old fashioned brim to brim mpg calculation next time I visit the petrol station.  As I said earlier anything 35 or over and I'll be very happy, I'll be able to relax a bit more and drive like a vicar a bit less. :D

Depends what roads you're on and how you're driving but broadly speaking that's in the ball park.

My long term average before I sold (2007 TFSI as well) was 35 and I could get above 40 on a good day but I was on very favourable roads and driving like a nun.

I don't ever tend to see more than 28 around town. Think the worst I've had out of a tank is about 24, so at least it's consistent (07 tfsi octavia vrs). On a long run it will get 42 though :)!

My overall average is 29.7 but normal driving sees about 35 which is not bad for how I drive lol

Mines a 2L tfsi too
