Don't forget what I mentioned earlier that the AI has been "upped" as well.  Some of the beta testers have been "tested" by it.

1.3 up and running  and so far so good, they are several good enhancements and some backward steps - but it does look generally like an improvement.  I've set my Asp up so that I can refuel any ship that has run out of fuel (with at least 8t) so if you find yourself in this predicament let me know and I'll try to help.  It saves having to self destruct (especially if you have lots of exploration data!)

the sytem I'm in , is independant, I have been bounty hunting here for a while, and they have gone green as "allied" ...

 

however the faction I have chosen, has now turned me "hostile" as the system I am in is an "explioted" sytem of my faction!

 

 

I may go on a journey to controlled space, so i can see what the crack is, maybe try some expansion ect ect

The new high conflict Resource Extraction Sites are intense to say the least. I got attacked by five ships at the same time and had to bail out. They are much harder to kill now.

 

Lots of new missions as well on the Bulletin Board with big payouts.

 

Can't decide which Power to join. I am allied with both the Federation and Empire, and friendly with the Alliance so it's a tough call.

I have just joined antal, because of his 50% increase in bounties policy ..... maybe I will have to head into controlled space, as I will now be attacked, as I am hostile in the system we were hunting in! if you join antal, we can go take over systems!

I'm trading between expansions and controlled systems, with fighting at the expansions. I think it's going to need dedication to make any serious money.

Had an interesting afternoon playing! took on one of the new missions (killing pirates) in HIP 495 , 150,000 reward from "homeworld" of faction.... and on the plus side, I went to a RES to find them and made 300,000 killing wanted's as well money is coming in for my vulture! (saw all of the new ships too! looking good )

 

so many "real" players around here! lol..

I'm messing about doing "Odds and Sods" at the moment. Doing a bit of exploring to try get my rank up ( like the % progress in the ranks - although it is a bit disheartening to see that it doesn't move by much when you hand in a lot of bounties/ exploration data)  by going very slowly out 1000ly (130jumps) and then coming back quickly - I've had it with the multi thousand ly jaunts - just take too long to get back.  I've seem to have found quite a few "first discoveries" only a couple of hundred ly out as well.  I haven't pledged allegiance to any one (and I don't think I will).

sounds like a computer issue there,,,,, I sometimes swop between the game and windows, but generally turn the browser off, as it sucks a lot of resources.... runs better (on my £250 desktop!) with the browsers off

Video drivers would be the first port of call.    (unless of course its a memory problem ED + Firefox  = uses dodgy bit of memory = BSOD).

Was on yesterday for a while and didn't have any great issues so maybe an update has cured it.

 

Noticed that the info screen with the rank actually now shows progression towards the next level - nice little change.

 

Still doing my slow exploration - spending too much time elsewhere to devote enough time to this game

I've just bought a Type 9

 

It is very heavy, very slow and is rubbish in a fight. However, it has a maximum 532 ton cargo capacity or in my case, 500 tons with a class 5 shield generator.

 

It has increased my usual circular trading route from 15 to 18 minutes. This gives an increased yield (over the 228 ton Python) of 755 tons per hour.

 

It only just fits in the starport entrance. However, and please take note, Sharkrider, I am still not using a docking computer.

 

I have been interdicted once so far, and managed to scarper.

Starting to get myself back into this, got it all updated-runs a lot smoother then it did. Currently running a basic Adder I think, didn't realise about the cartography option and just being an explorer. 

 

On a different note saw No Mans Sky that looks quite interesting as well. 

The Type 9 is no more.

 

Got interdicted 3 times by the same NPC Python and eventually killed before I could frame shift away.

 

Loss in total (insurance, cargo, return to Python etc) 18.5 million.

wow... they said they were going to make the NPC's more difficult!
