Top 3 VCDS Changes to your Superb

Featured Replies

Just wondering for those that have had it done, what are the top 3 (or 4 or 5) VCDS modifications you have applied to your car?

Some ideas I have are changing the maxidot to display large MPH, disable after-wipe on screen wash - that last stroke is a real pain - and putting the seat back when exiting the car.

Are there any others people would recommend?

There have been threads of this nature before but anyways mine are.....

HHC

XDS

Large MPH display.

If i had to say one it would defo be the HHC as i use it every time i go out in the car. :) Just depends on whether your ABS module is compatible. ;)

What is XDS?

Probably a really stupid question, but Is HHC only available on cars with DSG? And yeah, what is XDS?

HHC control is an option on both DSG and manual cars i believe.... Just depends if the ABS unit on the car can support it.

Brill - I want that so fingers crossed.

The ABS unit on mine is a BE variant hence i have had  both HHC and XDS enabled.... ABS info can be found using VCDS....

PR-1AT = Electronic Stabilisation Problem (ESP)
PR-UG0 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) OR Comfort Driving Assist NOT installed
PR-UG1 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) installed
PR-UG3 = Comfort Driving Assist installed = XDS
PR-UG4 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) & Comfort Driving Assist installed

Enable the cruise control speed in the maxidot. This also gives exactly 1mph +/- on the cruise stalk as well. Had it on my last three Passats and really missed it.

Shame it's only a newer car thing.... That's why i went for the large MPH display instead which acts in the same way etc....

+1. Really useful.

... and putting the seat back when exiting the car.

How do you do that?

Closing tailgate from the fob/button

XDS and HHC

5 x indicating when you push the stalk

Rear tailgate open and close from fob and dash

Hill hold

Seat belt nag

Closing tail door from key / inside dash. Easy entry & changing when main lights are switched on by light sensor. Always hated the main beams coming on at 1300 in Scandinavian winter.

For a fat nacker like me, easy entry is a Godsend! :S

As per other posts... HHC, XDS & BIG speedo.

If the easy entry is enabled in VCDS can it be switched on / off via maxidot? Or is it a case of once it's on it's on till disabled in VCDS again?
