Tend to agree with Iamholam. With flash memory capacity being so big these days I.e. less of a need for the built in HDD, other than the larger screen, other Columbus features not really worth it. Don't think £1500 is worth it for the larger screen.

6.5in Amundsen is pretty good, although not yet experienced using it for mapping :-s

out of interest whats the biggest card you can put in.

Visited my dealer this afternoon and he confirmed my car is about to roll off the production line with delivery by the end of July. Whilst there I took a look at a new Octavia SE-L and it has the new Amundsen with the 6 1/2 screen and park assist and active cruise as standard. He didn't even know the CD player is no longer there.

When I mentioned the forum knowing more than dealers, he said 'what's new'.

Can't wait to pick my car up!

The new Amudsen can only catalogue 1,000 tracks it seems from the new manual

Just had a look around my car pre pdi. I ordered an in stock car on 7th June, which was sat at Embden at the time.

I didn't know how long it had been there, but did not expect it would have been a MY16.

yep no longer classed as winter pack you have to order the options seperately but still £600

vRS TSi DSG hatch, Candy White, Amundsen (free), Spare Wheel, Privacy Glass.

It was the only Stock one they had in at the time, but its spec is what I need.

Had I ordered to spec I might  have added canton and kessy, but I haven't got those on the current one  so no loss

Already have a double sided boot mat, net and mudflaps to be removed from old car and swapped.

I will look to get some VCDS enabled things too, like HBA, sound generator disabled, and some preferences for odds and sods.

I ordered a week before as I couldn't find anything in stock that suited... vRS TDi Estate, Candy White, Spare Wheel, Black Pack and Sunset Glass.

Starting to think there maybe a lot of white ones around now, but love it in the estate spec, plus new car... new colour 

I will be looking at a few VCDS tweeks too.

Ours is Candy white with spare wheel and privacy glass too. Hope not too many people go for this combo don't want it to be too common lol.

Checked with dealer today - and my machine is definitely on it.

Takes a few days to get them from Cork to Baldonnel, and then fairly quickly from there to the dealers.

Mine's going to Spirit.

They reckon next week 6th or 7th ... They've to do final towbar instal (which shouldn't take long as towbar prep already installed in factory.) He was hoping to have car in end of this week.

Think he was a bit surprised that I knew the name of boat before he did !! Though- they're more interested in just getting cars in door and quick as poss, out the door!

I found out that mine was also on that boat. Not sure of current location.

Just collected mine! All as expected with no cd and the bigger screen.

Dealer was shocked that they'd "forgot" to install the cd lol.

The satnav didn't work as it was the wrong card.

Mine is also Candy White, as was my Mk2FL and my current Citigo.

Been speaking to my sales guy this afternoon, I was discussing the MY16 changes with him and he wasn't convinced by my statement that Park assist comes as standard now. Can someone who has had an SE L delivered confirm that this is the case.

@vegit8 I have Park Assist but when I ordered there was an offer running which included it along with ACC for free. This may not be the case right now.
