Just dont do what i did when told 6-8 weeks, sell your car at week 3.... For a loss as you only have 3 weeks to get taxis, 5 weeks max!!! (Didnt want 2 cars on drive)

Reading the statement from VW, you could get a Passat GTE delivered before the vRS 

 

I was thinking the same think......sadly deposit on the car now so will have to stay with Skoda for now. Still on the MK2FL I had a 6 month wait to so it's nothing new to me.

It's in the brochure and been mentioned here. The 1.2 is now 110PS Euro6 and the 1.4 is 150PS Euro6. I don't know how the diesels have changed.

Sorry im talking about the VRS 2.0 TDI I think all the MY16 have been EUR06 but I have read somewhere that shortly they will be using the Passat variant which has 190PS rather than 184PS. could just be rumour mill!

Sorry, it's difficult to keep track. As both the Skoda and Seat (on the Leon) have only just upgraded their 2 litre EU5 diesel engines to EU6 without changing the power I think it's unlikely there will be further changes this model year (or at least until MY16.5 in November). The 1.6 has had a small increase in power like the EU5 TSIs and these changes were widely predicted as it was required to change to EU6 this year.

My car arrived at the dealership today. They have a few final things to sort - including removing all the film / protection that it travelled with.

I went to see it and had a quick play around with the MIB II.

To clarify, when I select Smartlink from the menu it displays the message 'You can activate the function by means of an activation key - please contact your dealer.'

Clearly this is purely a licensing issue and all the hardware is already inbuilt into MIBII. The new 6.5" screen is a subtle difference but the graphics are much improved. The graphics are a lot more fluid and presses / swipes are a lot more accurate.

So far very impressed but the thing sits far too high on the wheels for my liking - needs lowering a touch :-)

Paperwork all signed today - picking her up at 9am on Tuesday morning :-)

P.s. I would have posted a photo of the car / smart link message but I can't figure out how to do it.

it probably high because the transport choks are still fitted, make sure these are removed when picking it up

Cortina, I did wonder this as I've seen this subject in a few topics now. I wasn't sure whether the transport blocks would make it higher or lower though?

I wonder is it same boat that goes from Emden to UK....then onto Ireland?

Is there only x1 UK landing port?....I believe it can land in x2 places in Ireland (Cork OR Wexford).

Checked with dealer today - and my machine is definitely on it.

 

Takes a few days to get them from Cork to Baldonnel, and then fairly quickly from there to the dealers.

Mine's going to Spirit.

This is sad. Since I was told that this afternoon it was on a ship heading for Newcastle and since there are now no car carriers in Emden that must mean it's on the weser highway currently on track to arrive in Newcastle at 1530 tomorrow. Technology is amazing

So today's the day!!! Picking up the new girl at 9am!!! Excited much !?!?!?

So just to add further complicationto the screen size on admunson, my dealer has asked the quesrtion and aparently the screen is still 5.8" however the resolution has been increaed to 800x 400! Dont know what people will say about that but there you go.
