Very disappointing day from my point of view :(

 

2 laps on track, mostly trying to keep out of the way, finally get some free air and time to figure out what I should be doing and *pop*. 2nd session, half way around not even using that much throttle off it pops again (duff clamp, no spares).

 

Hopefully do better at Snetterton.

As I said in my FB message, came to look for you as I found a stand selling pipe clips, saw car but not you :( did it get you back through Wales though?

Good day again, nice to see some of the regular faces and a few new ones.

Had fun on track even though my left indicator was on most of the time.

Evening Gents, Firstly a big sorry for the early red flag on the second session. The lump going into Quarry corner got me, I caught it but having corrected it I was heading for the grass (and the barrier). Someone said you went straight out again and had a good session which made me feel slightly better.

 

The Westfield was going very well but now has big problems, the chassis is bent, exhaust pipes squashed, body work damage. Wont know the full extent until I start taking it apart. The frame can be straightened or cut out and re-welded, the suspension wishbones replaced. New headlight, front n/s wing, repairs to the exhaust.

 

At least I only have myself to blame. GUTTED!

Ah sorry we went to watch down at the Esses.

 

Popped again once but just babied it all the way to my mums. Got a new one now from one of my sisters friends.

A big shout out to Jase for organising this even though he wasnt there! My brother and i had another great day! I will upload the gopro videos from my R32 soon. A great standard of driving was adeard to by all again... Hope to see some of you at Snetterton!

My brakes were glazed and causing some serious vibration in the first session, so had to give them some serious stick in the second session. Did the trick though

Criky you found the video before i even uploaded them in here! Don't worry about it! To be honest it was a heat of the moment comment with my addrelnalin pumping, like i say driving standards where very good by everyone!

All the coments in the videos i will upload are gibberish to be honest! Haha! Thats what happens when you take your brother with you to passanger for his first track experiance.

So if/when you watch the videos people please ignore the comments!

I was quite pleased with myself after session one, hopefully not too many errors and only my second time on track!

Shame about session two, limp mode was probably due to heat; need a bigger t'intercooler,,,,,,,,,

 

The car ran well I thought for a 145K + PD 100

This was bit of a disaster for me! But it was great up to moment my car sprayed oil all over the track and became totally uncontrollable.

It must have been virtually out as it needed a lot of oil!

Thanks to those who helped me out. The AA managed to bodge my car so I could drive home. It was lucky I got towed to a lay-by before the AA came and pretended I hadn't been racing! Otherwise I'd have been charged.

So after leaving my Mac all night, the three videos I have taken from my GoPro in my R32 Golf are as follows:

Had another fantastic day with everbody and I'm looking forward to the next one already!

 

Also my car passed the noise test easily Richard so ill book the day off and come and join you at Snetterton. My friend is his Corsa VXR would also like to join us for the day!
