I Have done it again, purchased my 4th VRS.

Featured Replies

Despite my initial lack of enthusiasm over the new Octavia VRS even after getting a drive on launch day up the Goodwood Hill in one.

I have just purchased a diesel hatch in Candy White. Its testament to the level of service I get from Horton's in Lincoln that I have stuck with the brand and have had a Mk1, Mk2 Pre FL, Mk2 FL and now a Mk3. I really did fancy something else this time and whilst I was suitably impressed and loved the looks of the Jaguar XE and Audi A5, I just couldn't justify the cost difference. I got a great deal from Horton's during the 0% event couldn't refuse it. Hopefully Ill come to love this VRS like all my others. I do hope so, that Jag XE was such a nice car!

Anyway hello fellow mk3 owners what should I expect from my new purchase? anything mk3 specific I should be aware of?

Like yourself, the Octavia was not my first choice. But terrible dealers and unwillingness to do any deal despite stating I need the car by September.

So I've been with Skoda for over 11 years.....guess they have me for a few more.

I've had a Octavia MKI Vrs, a MKII Vrs, a MKII FL Vrs, and now have a MKIII Vrs

I've also had 2 Fabia MK I (Deisel) Vrs and a MKII DSG Vrs

I've had a full house

My Dilemma was a contest of mind over heart. In my Heart I still want the Jag XE or the A5 but my mind knows the VRS was a way better deal that wont leave me in financial ruin. Plus I know the dealers are pretty good. Moving to Audi and Jaguar would be a step into the unknown and they both came over very snobbish and I don't think they would give me the same level of service with an entry level XE as they would an F-Type and the Audi JCT600 branch just seamed uninterested in selling me anything. I probably didn't fit the profile.

Did you ever have the same feeling I have though that it was commercial sense rather than something you really wanted?

Also wish I still had my mk1 vrs it had RS in the number plate and was a beast when remapped to 225bhp.

exactly my dilemma, I was willing to give it a go, but never have I dealt with such terrible dealers as I've dealt with at both Mercedes, Land Rover/Jaguar and Audi.

I'm not saying Skoda dealers are without fault but compared to the amount of money they charge I'd expect the above to be better.

My  Octavia MK I Vrs and my Yellow MK I Fabia Vrs had the Reg Plate B19 VRS  Wish I still had that reg too
