Ordered 1.4 TSI SE L DSG week 40 . Provisional BW given as week 1 subsequently brought forward to week 51 then week 50 and now at week 51 again. SUK advise that factory closed for two weeks over Xmas and New year so probably looking at late January delivery earliest

I ordered my L&K 190 DSG 4X4 estate on 6/10 from Caffyns in Tunbridge Wells & was told that it would probably be 12-16 weeks at the time, after seeing this thread I emailed on 13/10 to ask about build weeks etc & got told I wouldn't find out anything for 1-2 weeks. I hope that they're not holding back orders as some of you suspect.

New status: IN PORT OF EXIT RELEASED. on its way to Sheerness.

Update:

STATUS 39: VEHICLE SHIPPED

LOCATION: 40002 PORT OF SHEERNESS

Let's hope it doesn't get into any trouble whilst it's there: http://www.craptownsreturns.co.uk/2013/02/07/sheerness/

I ordered from Caffyns, Tunbridge Wells on 17th Sept, because of a couple of problems the order was not put in untill the 23rd, I had a call last week to say that it would be build week 48, this was for a L&K 2.0 TSI 280 4x4 estate, was told this configuration should be quicker than some others.

im gonna be really miffed if I end up with the Helios wheels, the stratos look pretty good.

I think that decision has been made. Freedom have more or less confirmed it.

you had confirmation? I had a wishy washy email from them a few weeks ago but given up chasing for now as they have to go out to their dealers.....

So after being delivered to the dealership on October 13th and after some ridiculous faffing about with the business hire paperwork I will finally get to pick my car up tomorrow morning

Ordered L & K TSI 220 in Petrol Blue with bits & pieces on 121015 (Wk 42), order has been amended twice since then. Latest info from salesman is for a late Dec build with a mid Jan delivery.

I will pester SUK about updated info in a week or so's time.

Time does NOT fly when you are waiting for a new Superb 3 :dull:  :dull: .

Finally confirmed today by skoda uk that my order was placed 15th October by the dealer who took my deposit on the 28th September. Still considering cancelling as I dont like the dealers handling of the order. Skoda uk were pretty useless and told me to go and take it up with the sales manager. they also couldn't confirm a provisonal build week either.

Well it looks as though my love affair with Skoda will be short lived. Originally had a week 47 build after several changes. Told today that it will be sometime in January 2016!!!!! Issues with some options is what Skoda Dealer support said but nothing concrete. 'Dont panic it may come forward again' was the best they could offer.

So 7 weeks after my order Skoda have changed the build weeks more often than my wife changes her mind and still can't give any definitive date for the vehicle arrving with me.

A great shame but time and tide wait for no ...........Superb. I need a car for early December so it looks like it will have to be another marque.

Did you put a deposit down on your order? I'm just curious as its longer than 14 days on my order and I don't know if I am entitled to it back.

I wonder what tweaks have been made to the 2016 engine software that will result in different performance between 2015 and 2016 SIIIs

had an update from Freedom yesterday - they say my car is still showing week 45 but still unconfirmed (surely they confirm plans 2 weeks ahead). Consequently they also say ill be affected by the alloy change too. Ill be trying to rebuff the alloys.

Yes and I expect to get it back. They haven't committed anything so I see no reason why they should withhold it. I will let you know. As I said I am still hoping he may find something lurking in the dealership that I can have. Wont match my specific spec but the car is so good that it is wrth him looking. They are good people, I know they will do what they can and I don't blame them. It is Skoda production that is the problem. They should have given more realistic production forecasts to the dealer networks. I may still wait to change and come back for a 16 plate but that depends on what deal I can find on other marques in the meantime. Maybe I stay with Merc; going to sus out the Mazda range this morning but deffo not BMW

Sagalout,

I was in a similar position, as I looked a many marcs before sticking with Skoda. BMW, Merc, Mazda. BMW salesman was a tossa so walked out, Merc I like the body styling and build quality but the test drive was poor due the diesel engine. (noisy and slow) Mazda was put together well, but to much plastic, plus could only get Arnold clark close to where I live which is a downer. Ended up ordering ans SE-L S3.

from my travels I am seeing S3 starting to appear as stock in Scotland but not the spec that I want so I am still waiting on my Build (week 50). Henrys Glasgow and Border Group in Dumfries have small number of S3's may be worth a call. Or may be worth a chance of putting your details into a website like, "CarWow" and see whom comes back with stock.

I had a conflicting information: Skoda confirmed my build week w/b 2nd November, but Freedom e-mailed today to say that BW is still unconfirmed. They said the alloys are changing, and that it will have the helios. Nowt we can do about it; they're totally covered at their end in the terms and conditions.

I too was contacted by the dealer regarding my lease SE Business last week saying I would be getting the Helios.

The choice I've ended up was a) get car end of November with Helios or, B) wait until end of Jan/beginning of Feb for Stratos.

So I've decided to go for the latter option. Not particularly happy about it since I ordered the car in week 35 but I guess demand is outstripping supply of the SIII.

My L&K has survived its night out in Sheerness and miraculously made its way to Oxford much quicker than I expected: STATUS 70: At Dealer. That's 2 months and 16 days from placing the order.

No chance of a pickup this weekend but I'm in tomorrow to take a good look. Collection next Friday should be OK, which will mean the Mk II will not need tax or MOT!

Update: STATUS 75: IN URGENT NEED OF VALET AND DETAILING. In dealer's rather far off gravelled compound, covered in shipping grime, autumn leaves, some mud, remnants of shipping materials and generally looking a right old mess. Rather wish I'd not seen it in that state, but I was able to get a picture of the option codes sheet (Big A3 page in the boot) and check that all the options ordered were there. (also all the right bits looked like they are in the right places).

Finished paperwork, handed over reg. plate transfer forms, paid some of the deposit, agreed a handover date / time for next Friday.
