Superb Order tracker

If it's any consolation I think those wheels look better in 17' than the Stratos. Of course you have chosen the right colour ;-)

I am warming to them, thinking more calmly now after a stressful week i am mainly angry about the lack of communication that has added to my stress levels having to get my old car ready to sell, get insurance sorted etc etc. Plus the poor attitude of Skoda customer service and just the principle of not getting what i ordered or even my second choice wheels!

Anyway the Red is what i am most happy about much more vibrant than the configurator/ visualiser suggests and a change from the silvers/ grey i've generally had (along with many others it seems!). I think the sharp lines of the new Superb really suits the bolder colours where as the old mdoel i would have probably stuck with something more "refined"

No offence to everyone who has chosen one of those my current car is a dark grey and I wanted a change!

    Car has arrived @ grimsby

i know people have had a bad experience ordering their new car and the hassle getting information

so here is my experience

ordered 28th august and given build week 37 which slips to 52, 50 and settles on 47

week 44 told could not have colour as ordered and build week now 00 ( no date given )

chose new colour and dealer updates system, given build week 08, I complain to Skoda and build eventually comes forward to week 49

week 49 ( week beginning 30 November) is confirmed last week ( Friday ) by Skoda customer services and told up to 5 weeks delivery

one day later ( today ) dealer informs me car is built and at UK port awaiting delivery

my point is any information given by Skoda cannot be trusted and I wait to see if the car I ordered is actually the car that arrives.

Sometimes these 'how does that happen' situations can arise because a vehicle that matches your spec has become available or someone has pushed a button and nicked one from another order. (e.g. a customer has rejected a vehicle that matches you spec so it can be passed onto you)

I changed my order but my original order was left on to sell to someone else who happened to turn up and be looking for the same spec. Thus they got the benefit of 6 weeks of my schedule. Firmer info for them right from the start.

The point about info from Skoda UK is that they do at least tell you what they know; they just can't be more definitive at these early stages of a new model. Perhaps if they didnt tell you straight then we wouldnt have the criticisms. In the early stages of a new model production schedule there are bound to be more variables than otherwise. It's the price we pay for ordering right at the start of a new model.

Also no production process is ever error free. If that error rate is ridiculously low at 0.1% then given the number of vehicles being produced it means a fair few unlucky so and sos' will face that off spec dilemma. Some will be significant and some minor. If your car turns up not to spec you still have the choice not to accept it. Frustrating for those who do get that problem but that is the way it works.

well Sagalout you missed the point

1) Skoda UK tell me on Friday (27/11/15) my car will be built during the week 49 (starting 30/11/15) but told by dealer (28/11/15)  that my car is now at uk dock awaiting delivery.

Ie car built at least a week maybe 2 weeks before Skoda UK have it allocated

if Skoda UK tell you what they know then they need a serious update to their systems because they didn't even know the build status.

as for my car taking the build of another then again this is wrong as Skoda has blamed me for the long delays as my car has a lot of options on it.

Quote " they haven't processed an order with so many option packs 24 in total " despite the delays being down to their stopping of the order when colour stopped.

so I doubt anybody has the same order as I have

2) given the above its no wonder I have a concern about what car turns up.

Well that told me then :whew:

I was responding to the many posts in this thread highlighting problems and not suggesting that anything applied specifically to your case. You clearly have a unique order.

As you say you will see what turns up. I really hope it is your car and that the info from the dealer is correct and it is Skoda UK who have it wrong. I have my fingers crossed for you ;)

This is very similar to me. Order placed 11/09/2015. I have been told from dealer for the last two weeks that I have a confirmed build week 49 - week commencing 30/11/2015. Then on Friday 27/11/2015 I have a status update from the dealer saying the car is in transit! I also specced nearly every option on an L&K so I too have a concern what turns up. - Oh, and I had to change the colour because Rosso Bunello got discontinued!!

Just got my confirmed build week of week 50 for a 4x4 SE in Quartz Grey, dealer reckons I should get it the end of January.  I ordered the car 25th September.  I decided to go for the Grey interior, anyone else gone for this?

It will be interesting to see if I get the Stratos wheels and Silver roof bars....dealer has not told me about any changes to my order!

I guess it could be coming with the black roof bars.

I think mine are being delivered with Helios wheels, i wish i'd known about the Zeus wheels option though.

Hopefully they'll look better in person.

Also, mine is just a 2 year lease, so im handing back in 2 years and getting it for a steal, so I cna live with a couple of compromises.

I've just had an email saying my car is built and being transported to a German port where it will be shipped over here.

Does anyone know how long that takes?

Ordered 28th August...

MIne took 2 weeks from being built to being at a UK port

i think it all depends on where its going, capacity on the ship etc. I think mine took about a week from Emden to the dealer, but others have had a few weeks.

Mine gets built next week my sales advisor tells me today over email, so might get it just after the new year, fingers crossed :). Probably time to think about plate transfer.

Regarding plate - look at putting your plate on retention online, takes 5 mins... then once you take delivery of the new car, you then put the plate back on the new car.

Saves waiting for the dealer and DVLA

Ordered 8th September, car is at the dealers and will be delivered to me on Monday 30th November ... exactly 12 weeks, loaded 190 DSG L&K

Arrived today @ 1020

Pity the rear window blind was missed off the order (side window blinds are present) everything else is there though.

Need to code the rear DRL’s though as they were not done on the PDI.

What rear drls Giz ?

I asked for the rear sidelights to be lit when the front DRL’s are on, this is possible but was not done.

Need to find the coding now and I will do it myself with VCDS.

Found out mines at the dealer and their admin person let slip it's been there a week but they were holding on to register it in December. Cheeky sods. Now agreed it will be registered and collect on Friday. Abandoned the reg transfer as really didn't want to wait another three weeks.

Can't wait

Anyone want a nice golf, will be going cheap on Friday!

Further update for mine. The sel estate ordered 28 the Sept unconfirmed build wk 52. The girl at Skoda stated that should be confirmed 1 or 2 wks before. She did say though that the cars can just be built and the factory don't tell Skoda UK. They build them to fill a slot if needed so the system doesn't get updated.

So all those getting cars before expected should be OK and get the correct spec etc.

I ordered on 21st September from NCD so I've been following your progress as you are a couple of weeks ahead of me. I've not had any contact from NCD since ordering and I've not chased them.

Do you remember how long before delivery they let you know it was coming?

Enjoy your new car.

I'm starting to get impatient now :)

I was called on Monday 16th November and told the car was due to be delivered to the dealer mid week and would be ready to be delivered on Friday 27th, however I took to long to confirm this (as I was at a funeral that day) so today was the next day available.

I would expect you will be getting the call any day now?

Hope so!

I'll post when they do let me know.

Thanks.

Ordered this on Friday the 27th of November:

Superb 1.4 TSI ACT Ambition Combi (mid-level trim over here)

Magnetic Brown

DCC

Electric tailgate

HBA

Sunset

Xenon

No confirmed built week yet.

Got the finance paperwork through today. Looks like car will be registered on Friday and I hope to collect next week. Magnetic Brown SE Business Estate.

So I ordered early to mid October not sure when it actually was ordered by the dealer but

I keep being told week 6 and it's not moved. Am I able to ask the dealer for some type of code to go to skoda Cs with?

If so it seems I maybe wasting my time in calling them from what I have read on here ?

Any thoughts how you would go about this ???

Yes, an SLI code. But be warned - Skoda CS can give out wrong information. I was told I had a confirmed BW, but now it is unconfirmed. One gets used to it though....
