I checked with Skoda in the week and they said even though my unconfirmed bw is 52 it will likely change as factory is closed! But if people are getting confirmed dates for week 52 I'm going back to them.

Crazy that the BW calculator doesn't know when the factory is open!

If you ordered  on a PCP...it'll cost ya.

Sorry what do mean it will cost ya ?

My Order:

  • L&K Hatch TSI 220 DSG
  • Quartz Grey, Brown Leather, Grey Headlining
  • Spare wheel
  • Rear wiper
  • Rear backrest release from boot
  • Heated washers
  • Smart light assist
  • Traffic assist
  • Rear camera
  • Paddle steering
  • Extended Warranty
  • Service plan
  • Order confirmed: 16th November
  • Unconfirmed build week of: 12 (given yesterday)

Order for delivery 1st March so guess they have missed that date, at the moment.

Just had a call from the dealers and apparently it is now showing as "unconfirmed week 9" so a couple of weeks nearer.  Got to admit it is becoming a long wait each and every time I have to try and lock and unlock my current car, problems with the keys and locks that is not worth repairing due to cost.

Well, if you've ordered a car on a PCP, the instant it reaches the factory and is accepted, you are financially liable. If you subsequently cancel your order, the car will still be built and the dealer you ordered it through will be penalised £500 (known as a `detag` fee). They will then have to sell the car and you will be responsible for any costs they incur...including the £500. I know this from personal experience.

The factory does not shut completely apparently it runs on fewer staff so production does not stop. Not sure if i like the sound of that. Anyway my build week finally locked in as 52. 21st dec. Should get car end of jan?

Slowly learning to live with the fact I doubt if I will see this till late March. Would like the build week to move forward so that I might get it for 1st March but so far every time I ring the dealer still week 6. Just can't believe it takes over 6 months to get a new car but I think in 2001 when I ordered a Renault it was 6 weeks but then again none buys them. Lol

Superb Hatch L&K 2.0 TDI 150 PS dsg

Petrol Blue Metallic

Beige Upholstery

Sunroof

Spacesaver Wheel

Ventilated Front Seats

Rear Wiper

Heated Windscreen Nozzles

Rear Camera

Build Week Confirmed 50 (Dec 7-13)

Update Car built and on way to Emden 9 Dec

Just called Skoda. Looks like my build week 52 is now confirmed. She said it is not closed but will be operating on skeleton staff, it may take longer to build. I hope there is no slip in qaulity control!

Factory shutting down first 2weeks in January .

While my Superb is not due into March.... i do have a Skoda Rapid Spaceback SE Sport also on order with currently a estimated date that the car will be at the dealer date of the 28th Jan.

Is the Rapid built at the same factory and also, does it really take 4 weeks to ship ??

Mine moved from 6 to 11 to 5 to 3 to 2... And now I'm going to blow it all by asking for Zeus!!!

Ah so the guys responsible for putting the carpets in are also having to cover headlights and front bumpers! Something's gotta give!

At which point they'll tell you it's built!

My thoughts exactly  !!!

Still lets hope we (the week 52 built car owners) all get a few extra christmas goodies fitted by accident :D

There are 53 weeks in 2015. Week 52 does include Xmas day but will be a part working week. I guess week 53 will be shutdown week

Collected my 2.0tdi 150 SE Business Estate on Tuesday (8th Dec), ordered 17th Aug.

Waiting for a build week but just asked for Zeus instead of Helios on the understanding that it does not delay the delivery. Keeping fingers crossed.

Tesla will you be putting some photos up. I've ordered the quartz grey too but only seen it in the showroom.

A lot of these greys are very hard to capture in photos, aren't they?

Me too, I took a flyer and went for Magnetic Brown Metallic with Beige Leather interior so really keen to see what it looks like in the flesh as mine is a March 16 delivery.

I was completley shocked after a phone call to SUK today.

Ordered car on 26 November, and called to try and get un unconfirmed build week to be told i have a confirmed build week of Week 2.

I ordered the day after you. Would be a pleasant surprise if my BW is that close as well!

I was quite gutted when i found out i was getting Helios wheels, but dare i say it, I quite like them and think they suit the 17" wheels better. They look much better in the flesh - i was worried they'd look like the super basic taxi wheels you see on old octavias, but they are really smart.
