Superb Order tracker

Just heard from the dealer...

Build week for my SEL Exec 1.4TSI DSG that was ordered on 1 October has been confirmed at Week 50 (so 7 December) - wont be taking delivery till March time though for the new plate and to save up a bit more dosh in time to collect!

Now, the juicy bit, apparently on 19 November, another mailshot came round to dealerships from the mothership of VAG stating that the 1.4TSI ACT engines are NOT EFFECTED by any errors in MPG or emissions. Apparently, they are all clear!

Anybody heard the same?

Yes was first question I asked my dealer and he said the euro 6 engines aren't affected otherwise would probably have chosen another make and model

You may have fallen lucky with a dealer that has some orders already in the system that they can change to suit you. anyway great news that there seems to be more of the 1.4 getting into the wild now looking forward to your review when you get it,

I do share your frustration this is my first new car purchase and the comm's from my dealership have been really bad, I have been checking with Skoda UK customer services myself to get the info of where the car is up to.

I just keep telling myself the wait will be worth it in the end.

Hi -  The dealer showed me his list of orders and the various stages of build they were at. It  seemed to go from stage 10 build date confirmed to stage 70  shipped/in the uk  - can't quite recall exact status definition.  Didn't manage to spot what the latest superb order stage was as the list contained all Skoda models.   Have to say it was quite a long list so they must be selling a few which with the great finance deals in place I'm not surprised at.   Good luck with your order -  after reading this thread I am half expecting mine to get delayed tbh, but not in a massive rush as my trusty Peugeot 107 will keep me going until the new year , although my bad back might have a different opinion!

Hi all dealer rang me this morning to say my build date confirmed week 50 for my 1.4tsi sel estate they expect it at dealership first week in january fingers crossed.

Blimey, this will be a bit of a step up from a 107, be patient, it'll be worth it I'm sure.

Fingers crossed my 1.4 tsi act arrives around the same time although I ordered mine back in late September. Dealer said mid Jan at time of ordering and still expects this to be honoured. I get an update every three or four weeks. Original provisional build week was 49. It's slipped back to 50 so it'll still be the Christmas break that slows down shipping and delivery to dealer I think.

Sounds like week 50 is for 1.4 petrols! Presumably they run production to specific engine specs as surely there is too much difference between petrol and diesel hardware to run a diesel then petrol build down the same line one after each other.

This is my understanding...

Status 10 - your car has a rough week number

Status 20 - your week No has been confirmed

Status 30 - parts gathering

Status 38 - the car has been built

Status 39 - its on the train to Emden in Germany (not long now)

Status 40 - it is at UK port (Sheerness, Grimsby or Tyne).

Status 50 - transport to dealer

Status 70 - Dealer

It's a long story re the 107 - lets say a tight Yorkshireman decided it would be a good idea to try out budget motoring when his lovely comfy Ford Mondeo developed problems in its later life. Two years down the line the same tight Yorkshireman has decided to get his wallet out.   So I say I'm not in a rush but really can't bloody wait :)

Very interesting Ive not heard anything like that from my dealership but I did notice that the 1.4 tsi was not on the big VW list going around last week. I do hope this is right I will be checking with my dealership later today.

Let hope your order will be only 12 weeks, I've ordered the same car in a different colour, and I've been waiting 10 weeks so far and the build week is currently week 4 next year unconfirmed so it might slip even more. I hope this isn't the case for you but, just I bit of a warning it might be a longer wait than you think. But it will be worth it.

I originally wanted the Pegasos wheels but the dealer phoned SUK while i was there and confirmed i would be looking at 20 weeks for that choice. Ended up with the Modus hoping it stays at the estimated 12 weeks. I will be keeping an eye on the updates and if it looks like im going to be delayed anyway will try and see if i can get the Pegasus ones. SWMBO will have curbed and destroyed them within a week so i shouldnt be that bothered what is actually fitted.

Modus is a nice wheel. I chose it over Pegasus.

Or in my case: status 75 - the dealer has ballsed up your plate transfer and now need to wait three weeks for the DVLA to send out a replacement no plate certificate.

Interesting about the Pegasus wheels. I ordered my 150TDI DSG mid October with Pegasus wheels. The dealer sends me a weekly update on build week and it has gradually come forward from week 10 to week 52 so it will be interesting to see if the wheel issue affects it.

I won't hold my breath because the last Superb I ordered 3 years ago got as far as the build week, the dealer heard nothing more and then made enquiries only to discover that it never got built because of problems with the paint colour.

I then had to take a car from UK stock which was not to my original spec.

In fairness I was well compensated.

My 1.4 tsi SEL-E ordered 23 September, and had unconfirmed build week of 07 from that date until a last week, when dealer contacted me and advised now week 17. An extra 10 weeks making 33 weeks in total - hope is comes down!

Ordered 27th August and Skoda CS confirmed today bw 50

Still unlikely to see it until the New Year though

My car is in the UK awaiting delivery to dealer. Getting there slowly.

Not impressed with my experience but at least i'm getting my Superb Estate SE business soon (2.0 TDI)

For me i ordered on the 28th of August on a private lease through the same company we use for some of our company fleet (although finance is actually  through skoda i found out this week) I requested build estimate numerous times along the way. Then when i saw the issue with the Stratos wheels on the forums here I contacted Fleet company who in turn contacted the dealer at the beginning of October. At this point the dealer says they were told by Skoda that my order was not affected and would have the Stratos Wheels as ordered.

Next got contact (despite asking for build estimate again) on the 27th Oct to say i couldn't have the Stratos, i asked if i could wait or upgrade to 18inch Wheels for free/ discount.

Bit of backwards and forwards and i was told no on the 11th of November So i replied that although i'm not happy would go for the optional FOC  Zeus wheels, again requested build estimate (didn't know i could contact skoda customer service direct!)

Friday 20th get a message to say car will be at dealer on Monday 23rd Nov (turned up at dealer tuesday) but they weren't sure what wheels were on it!  the Fleet companys words were "terrible service from Skoda) What a joke no time to get my current Ibiza ST together to sell as didn't want to repair the single dent and scratch only to get another fromt a careless road user!  I'm also in a tricky situation as the Ibiza is one of those affected by the emissions scandel (1.2 tdi ecomotive) so think i may struggle to sell or get less that i had hoped for it, all in all VW group are not impressing me the response from Seat customer service has been woeful.

So it's turned up with the Helios wheels, not happy but well its no skin off Skodas nose if i reject it i suspect as there is loads of demand and it was a very good rate, Skoda customer service have proved useless they blame dealer but they dealer and fleet company have pointed out it generally takes 3 weeks to shop the car and i believe the spec is "locked" a couple of weeks before that when the build date should have been confirmed so even contacting them on the 27th of Oct may not have helped at all. The Dealer are saying it is simply lack of communication from Skoda and is offering free mats.  In reality it's probably a mix of the dealer and Skoda at fault.

Pics below from the dealer (to convince me not to reject it) for anyone considering which wheels to get on their SE business. Very happy with the Corrida Red,  not so much with the wheels!

ALSWSuperb SE Helios2

Extras are park assist, colour maxidot and rear crew protection (why should safety features be extra?! pretty morally suspect IMO)

Those wheels really are not very nice! and I'm not usually bothered about stuff like that, a wheels is a wheel to me.

Just had an update from the dealer, car is arriving with them on Monday, collecting on Wednesday. Off to sign paperwork later today, getting excited now. Only 4 more sleeps  :D

Am I the only person who likes Helios wheels? I've deliberately speced my SE L with them :(

I quite like the Helios wheels. They look easy to keep clean. I think my SE Business will have them.

Just got my confirmed build week of week 50 for a 4x4 SE in Quartz Grey, dealer reckons I should get it the end of January.  I ordered the car 25th September.  I decided to go for the Grey interior, anyone else gone for this?

It will be interesting to see if I get the Stratos wheels and Silver roof bars....dealer has not told me about any changes to my order!

If it's any consolation I think those wheels look better in 17' than the Stratos. Of course you have chosen the right colour ;-)

No I think they look fine.

Picked mine up today the car is great. There is the noticeable step in the accelerator that someone mentioned.

Just received an email update from my dealer -  1.4 tsi SEL-E still status 10 but now come forward from week 17 to week 05. Also had confirmation that the this engine has been taken off the list of problem engines.
