Spare wheel dealer order?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Realised in my haste to get a car quickly, my ordered car at the UK port doesn't come with a space saver spare...

Has anyone not spec'd one and ordered one from the dealer at a later point? What are the costs if so? Thinking I should probably have one given the mileage I'll be doing!

Thanks.

Sorry wrong reply

You can order one as spare part option, but they are stupid money, either £180 or £260 I forget which. My car came with the space saver wheel but I hate the darned things, so just sourced a full size alloy wheel and tyre.

Why not go the scrapyard and find a steel wheel. Just make sure the ET and offset are the same

A space saver would do, it's just in case I'm caught short.

Wouldn't really fancy a mucky scrapyard option in a brand new car!

I've seen 16" spacesaver with toolkit set on EBay for £120, so guess that's not too bad!

Hopefully you can amend your order (fingers crossed).

However if you are forced down the retrofit and want to stay with OEM parts there are two options (your dealer should be able to confirm the right part for your L&K):

If you have 288mm diameter front discs then you will need 5Q0601011B (wheel) and 5E0093860 (tool kit)

If you have 312mm diameter front discs then you will need 5K0601011AA (wheel) and 5E0093860A (tool kit)
