Yeah, difference between mk2 and MK3 is not that big, maybe just width

Thats what I thought, but it does not seem to be any wider inside.

It IS indeed. One of the argues to change from Mk2 to Mk3 was the width between armrests for rear passenger.

Having 3 children, I knew I would face trouble to install 3 child seats in a row (2 Group 2-3 + 1 Group 1-2-3) in the Mk2, when my youngest was about to switch from Group 0+ to Group 1. There are actually 3-4 more cm in the Mk3, which make "all" the difference.

No problem to put all 3 child seats. ;)

That's good to know if ever I need to sit in the back. I think it does not seem as wide in the front, but thinking about it, the centre consol is wider than the mk2, so I expect that is where the extra width is then and not in the seats.👍

It’s fine for three adults in the back or even two and a single child seat. But definitely not very comfortable for a single adult between two child seats - they just take too much space(both of them Group 2/3). This is my personal experience :)

If you have the money (faux leather is around £1900 inc all fittings)  apparently a MultiMac 1260  4 seater (15 months to 12 years) will fit the rear of a Superb (there's a 3 seater as well at around £1800)

Might be going bit off-topic, and I do not really need (never got so many, pity), but how does the law considers fitting a 4ppl-seat in a 3ppl-seat? And you would be in exceed of the registration documents if seating 2 in the front and 4 in the rear.

Or this does not matter in UK or other places?

Thanks. I discovered this 1 or 2 years after I switched to my Mk3.

I don't know if this is allowed in France.

Anyway, time has passed by and I currently have only 1 Group 2/3 in my car. So this is not an issue anymore for me... ;)

You're lucky, we have had a 4 month wet spell.

Think it's been longer than that!!

From a grey Superb owner, your wrap looks excellent.

+1, I too like that wrap colour 👍

I love the Superb MK3 with EA888 engine, I'm on my third model now, all Laurin & Klement. Awesome car and spec for the price.
Initially I had the white L&K 280 with DSG6.
I then changed to the newer L&K 272 with DSG7 and virtual instrument cluster. Was very happy with the petrol blue colour. Changed the alloys to 19''.
Now I've swapped that against the last iteration of the MK3, back to 280bhp. Despite not being un-enthusiastic about the grey colour. It doesn't offend me, it's nice enough, but personally I find it a bit generic and boring (apologies to all owners of grey Superbs, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder).

So I had it vinyl wrapped with Teckwrap Wilderness Green. Now I'm considering having it de-chromed as I reckon black contrasts better with the green than chrome.

What kind of money for the wrap ? Just out of curiosity 😉

Oooooo.. I need more info on this 😁

Always could be located in the dark before courtesy of the remote key fob operating the lights when unlocking, or are they concerned that modern owners/drivers with KSSY system don't know how to press a button on a key fob?

😁

Prices seem to vary significantly. I had quotes for £1600, £1800 and £2500, all plus vat. That is in the south London (and South of London) area. For most wrap manufacturers flip colours are more expensive (plus £300) but for teckwrap prices seem to be the same across their range.

Oh c'mon you need to embrace and feel that bling bling feeling ... illuminated external door handles gets you into uncharted territory ☺️

Next is illuminated door sills so you can silhouette the car in the dark 😁

Honda-Civic-Coupe-EJ1-The-Fast-and-the-F

Jokes aside, I like the idea of the illuminated door handles 😊

Oh I can see the appeal to certain people who like to be the centre of attraction, personally I'd rather be the wolf in sheep's clothing with upgrades that added greater functionality without shouting about it, like mudflaps to protect the bottom of the doors and rear wings from stones and mud flung up from the tyres, or headlights that gave far better performance without dazzling other drivers. Anything like these door handle lights are really nothing more than eye candy for others, the driver will gain zero benefit from while driving.

As a car enthusiast - it's not just about functionality, but it's also about fun and personalization. The little touches make a car "special", instead of being the usual boring sheep.

It's not always about the look at me factor or wanting to b the centre of attention - far far from it.

True its not and I can get it that you're a car enthusiast, so am I, but for me its more about safety enhancements than bling that appeal. In fact it would appear that it is looking increasingly likely over here that any modifications of any sort that deviate from the manufacturer's standard product offering will be heading down 1 of 2 routes, either will be banned, or have to be notified to the DVLA and approved by them before the car will be allowed on the roads.

Just how the heck they can effectively police such plans, currently beats me, I can't see a way that can be enforced other than if involved in a accident and modifications are detected the insurance companies instantly withdraw any cover leaving the hapless motorist exposed? That's a can of worms best left alone in my view, fingers crossed it never gets implemented.
