  • Picked car up yesterday. I am sure colour will be Marmite, some will love some will hate. Personally I am over the moon and love it. So pleased I changed the wheels to also be black.     Car is:

I apologize to my mates for delaying so much, I had forgotten about posting the photos with the 'summer' 18s, running 225/50

Against big thanks to Carlston whose details and information are always exemplary, to help me choose the right combo ... love the way these wheels look, and the balance of perfomance and comfort of the /50 profile is .... Superb!

Only one drawback though - as we had discussed preventively

https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/478950-what-size-wheelstyres-will-fit-to-superb-iii/page/5/

- these are too much tuck in ... I am not a fan of spacers, but are there any which are slim enough to fit with the OE bolts? Being these rims ET43, just to bring them to the edge of the wheelarches and get a "chunkier" look, maybe will also behave better on the road but can't tell ...

In any case I am delighted ❤️

Hi Everyone, new here to the forum. Kinda fresh owner of a 2020 Superb IV. Some people might curse me for it, but it was red and I had it wrapped in "Gloss Auratium Green". I wanted a unique car, something green in the line of the Nardo Grey color but not Nardo Grey ;)

In my opinion it worked out really well, love how different the car looks during the day versus evening / dusk. Funny how opinions on the color of my car are quite hefty. People either love it or hate it.

I've been looking to get some other winter alloys. Any good tips on what OEM rims would look good? Love the current combination of black and chrome on the wheels. I thought the 19 inch Cursa wheels with black/chrome would look good but can't find any examples of Superbs with those rims. Nice, what's the cost versus a respray?

No clue, didn't check on what a respray would cost. The idea was that after a couple of years I would go back to the red color. In hindsight, removing the wrap is probably quite expensive as well.

Wrapping the outside only would be somewhere around 2500 euros. Wrapping inside out costed me 3800 euros in total, so the indoors was done as well.

I LOVE that colour! Which brand is the vinyl wrap by?

This is from APA. Wrapping this car was quite a story on it's own, the wrapper that was supposed to wrap the whole car in the first place (inside out) wasn't able to do the inside. Another wrapper did the inside, but wasn't too happy with APA as it was prone to scratching. After washing it 2 times I can see where that's coming from. I do have to be extra careful washing this car if I want to keep it in this state.

Edit; @WolfK I see you had yours wrapped as well. Awesome color!

This is my 2016 L&K

9x20 et35 with 235/35-20

Saving up money for lowering springs and new dcc shocks💸

Coming up with some better pictures once i have cleaned it.

235/35R20 might not be able to support the maximum axle weight of the Superb MK3 because the load index of this tyre size is only 92(630kg) in XL (eXtra Load) form.

The Superb MK3 usually uses at least a 94 (670kg) load index.

245/35R20 would have been better because that has a load index of 95(690kg) in XL form.

The load index on my Superb is 89 on the front axle and 90 on the rear.

And yes the tires is 92.

I like the rolling diameter of the tires so close to original as possible so thats why i bought that dimension.

Hi Guys,

I have been searching for couple nights if I could fit 20x9 et37 wheels to my Superb.

I left those wheels from my previous car, when I joined the Skoda club couple years ago.

Wheels have currently 255/35r20 tires on them. Would those fit or should I go narrower?

I have also plans to install H&R lowerkng springs. I think that those would not help with the fitment..

Car is 2018 2.0tdi 190hp 4x4 Sport line Combi.

Sorry guys for late late reply, but as I promised here are my results;

I went with Sailun Atrezzo zsr2 245/35R20.

I drove with this setup couple thousand kilometers without any scrubbing with the standard sportline dcc suspension.

Highways, windy roads, gravel roads, by my self and with my family of five, no problems.

Unfortunately time to depart came before I had time to try the lowering springs.

Car was undriveable for three months due to sensor failure in the machatronics, eventually the whole mechatronics needed to be changed.

After it was fixed I (read wife) decided that it was time to move away from estate cars.

Couple pictures from the final days.

Older one is 2011 2.0 tdi/dsg/Elegance which I bought new and newer is 2.0 tdi/dsg/4mo L&K with every option available at that time.

I should sell the older. It has been standing now one year without usage...

Agreed....rims look good, but those stretched rubber band tyres will give me kerb anxiety and jarr my spine as result of feeling every road imperfection!!

  • 1 month later...

Summer tyres on an also fitted eibach lowrering springs. I would go lower but coilovers is so expensive with the dcc😩
