VCDS options on Superb III

Hello folks I am back! Works and kids got in the way of playing with the car I coded in lane assist but I had a few issues, I figured out the security code thing. After coding lane assist in when I select activate on the maxidot it say lane assist not available!, also in the car menu on the radio lane assist is not in the options. I reverted all the changes back after it failed. I took ( I am novice) an autoscan which I can post if that makes it easier. One question does the auto scan show which adaptions are enabled etc?

Most probably (not 100%) Traffic Sign Recognition and Light Assist, if you do not order Smart Light Assist.

You need to reset the radio (holding on/off button for 10-ish seconds) after coding. If it says LA is "unavailable", then you have forgot to code something.

Lane Assist is not a problem. Sign Assist can be activated, but if you don´t have sat-nav, you will get a fault message in the MaxiDOT display each time you start the car. Because of that, I deactivated Sign Assist again.

OK thanks. I have navi columbus, so here there should be no problem right? that version of VCDS I need? aliexpress.com meeting in the 15.7.0 , that would be worth ? Now to see if I find how to activate it , and not be speaking English , Spanish and there is very little information . thank you very much for everything.

No it is not cheap.... but then neither is your car! (Or the options you are trying to activate)

There are well known issues with the non genuine software that will render bits of your car useless.

Hello folks i tried to activate lane assist the other day i followed the instruction posted a few pages back, When i went to activate on the Maxidot is said lane assist not available. It was also not in the menu on the radio. I wonder as gizmo said i did not to a reset on the radio may be after this reboot it would have worked. I also did not reset the fault that were caused when i tried to code it in i wonder would this be the cause of the failure?? See below the full scan after i tried to enable.

Try with deleting the fault codes and resetting the camera.

The last rule is not (always)right. I found out that the S3 i had you have to change in module 44 Byte 3 Bit 0. See attachmentLane assist.png

 

 

Hello folks, i coded this today and it worked! I rebooted radio as gizmo said by holding power button for 10 seconds and i reset all the faults that were generated afterwards. and it worked so thanks again for the help and of course the patience. i tried it on a short drive and it identified to white lines and corrected to get to the center of the lane not as fast as i thought it would though. I read somewhere on the forum their is a setting you should tick some thing like predict the lane or extrapolate anyone see this?? I took screen captures of each step but cant figure out how to attach.

You can see I can only activate lane control their is no predictive box to checkk? I must have missed some thing but I double checked the guide above. I flicked through all the relevant modules but could not see some that looked relevant to my novice eyes[emoji23]

hello all,

 

couple of quick questions if i may on the VCDS subject.....

 

I've a 11.11 version of VCDS/Vagcom which worked perfectly on my mk 5 golf and c5 audi A6 I've just downloaded 15.7.4 to try a few of these coding options on my new Superb III, but the VCDS does not recognise the USB connection although the device is lit. I assume i'll need to replace the USB device with one which works on 15.7.4?

 

Secondly, i've just fitted a Westfalia Towbar cable (big job - 12 hours!!) as i had to do all the tinkering with the BCM wires/Fusebox behind glovebox. There is an error on the ACC after battery disconnection. I assume once i get the new USB device i'll be able to fault find like i used to on the old golf/audi?

 

Finally, i also intend to activate the Trailer mode along with activating the OffRoad display, increase the sensitivity of the throttle cable and enabling the rear DRL's.

 

I don't know if you are able to say on this open forum, (if not - please ignore) - where would be the best place to get the updated 15.7.4 cable?
