All wiring not put into bay and plugs connected. Injectors and regulator put into fuel rail and connected to the car. Fuel lines and cooling pipe rerouted to suit new charge pipe.

Fitted front end and cut everything away that would get in the way of the intercooler. Didnt secure FMIC as want to weld the tabs onto crash bar to make it secure. Removed all the front end until my oil cooler pipework arrives as it makes it easier.

Fitted catch can to strut brace out of the way, but still useable.

Routed all my sensor wiring from bay through bulkhead and into dash. Fitted gauges to dash pod. Just requires loads of soldering and a switched live sourcing.

Ordered lots of pipes so waiting on them arriving for FMIC before the big startup.

 

 

 

 

 

This is all ive done today.. practiced some welding with an auto mask which doesnt work. Now my eyes hurt.

 

Started the day teaching myself how to weld. Once i sorted out the gas flow, wire speed and amps i was away.

 

then made up brackets to hold the FMIC and oil cooler. Painted it black along with the slam panel cover to tidy it up.

 

 

 

 

Fitted them to the car with intercooler fitted.

 

 

Fitted oil cooler ends and ran in the pipework and fitted cooler.

 

 

 

 

Started on the routing of the 2.5" pipework. Theres no room for it

Wired up gauges today, cant upload a vid but they do a needle sweep when turned on too. Need to secure to dash at some point.

 

New MAP sensor pipe arrived.

(The blue is just temp until i know what i actually need)

Fitted driveshafts and all bolted up. Wheels on and lowered to the floor.

All intercooler pipework installed, just front bumper to chop up to fit.

 

Started it and it runs!!! WHOOOOOOO

 

 

Just need to jubile clip everything and go for a drive. Get 500 miles on the engine then mapping on Thursday. Tight

Looks insane, cant wait for a passenger lap.. may come to Blyton for it

Everything fitted and done 150 miles..

Have a mega oil leak, i've dropped sump and redone it but ive got a feeling its crank seals. Which is game over for Snetterton.

Refill with oil tomorrow and see how it goes.

Resealing the sump failed, so in the morning I'm going to remove and refit without the baffle insert.

If that fails it is deffo the crank seals, which will not be done for Snetterton as it's either going for mapping Monday or no time.

So if it does work, I have sat evening and the drive the Burton to get 350 miles

Afyer the trackday at Snetterton i thought i better crack on as i really wanted to be out there.

dropped everything off today, replaced both crank seals. Made a new bracket for the turbo as a support.

refitted everything. Just need to refit engine..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Refit it all tomorrow and hope ive installed the seal correctly this time. 

Ah... That would be the cause of the leak then

Yeah. Once its back in and mapped 

All rebuilt and fitted. Put my 19mm piping for the breather, just need to finish off once TIP is all connected.

Adapting a few of the cooler pipework to make the sit better.

Changed oil filter and i'm putting Quantum Platinum 5w-40 in now. 

Made a new battery holder as for the past 18 months the battery has only stopped sliding about as i wedged a bit of plastic i found in a petrol station in Belgium 

 

Tomorrow we shall see if its cured the leak.
