Haha i am too!! Not sure what disc to use yet either. 256/288/312, personal pref would be 288 mainly for asthetics but i'm not sure yet. We will see soon

There is a firm in Germany who sells brackets to fit Porsche rear four pots onto the rear of our cars, but you also have to run the OE rear caliper as well to retain the handbrake, looks messy with two calipers on the back imo.

what you doing regarding the handbrake Phil?

Phill does though because it has to pass an MOT as he drives to and from the track. So yes, he'll need a handbrake.

Na, paint them different colours and make 'em stand out! In fact, fit three.

Yeah I used to run 6 pots and 4 pots with R32 caliper on my octy..

But not worried about hand brake for the Fabia, so a second caliper is out of the question.

Yeah. 350mm front discs and 310mm rears. Stopped well :D

What was pedal travel like and feel with them?

  • Author

Exactly the same as standard, feel was perfect and very progressive. Litrally popped your eyes out it used properly.

Well started on the engine and hit a snag.. the forged rods dont fit inside standard pistons. The pistons are tapered and the standard rods are tapered too, can be seen in the pics. Now i'll probably do what i planned to start with and buy forged rods with 20mm wrist pins to fit my 'spare' pistons. Last pic shows how the 20mm ones are alot wider.

Sprayed up the front and picked the dirt off with screwdriver. Needs a proper degreaser/gunk on it though.
