When I swapped to an Amundsen+ I followed the suggestion as per post 9 in the thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/360955-columbus-trim-panel/?hl=%2Bfacia#entry4296916 to find the trim level and fitting for the interior (climatic controls).

 

Once I'd worked out what I wanted, I ordered from local dealer, around 3 days to arrive.

 

As you can see, there are lots of options so make sure you get the right part number.

Its called "volkswagen satin silver"  from halfords ,  i put 4 or 5 coats with no lacquer and its a perfect match with the trim.

Also what size of Skoda badges did you get?

the black ones are cheap enough from the dealer , but as nickgpfc said make sure you get the one that suits your trim , and i think these are the badges i got :

the front and rear badges in the second kit aren't great as  they only stickers but the other ones are a good fit 

Update on the Headunit!

 

I've managed to change the start logo to the Skoda logo and have in increase the amplification on the blue tooth streaming! Lots of hidden features!

 

Wife was impressed with it but had to tell her that it only cost me $100 plus customs!

I got stung by customs as it came from HK and also it was more expensive than stated due to the exchange rate on credit card and them charging in their native currency. 

ANyway Im happy with it and I'm just about to order a reversing camera.

Did you get one without the Parrot chip then? It was about £305 from Amazon.

What's the advantage of the parrot chip ? Does it not have a Bluetooth phone feature anyway?

 Bugger...    if you hadn't of mentioned .... I'd be in the same boat  :clap: Do you have the Dab add-on ? As Im not sure what the aerial connection to the box is, mine is a SMB female from the roof aerial

I couldnt justify buying the DAB add-on!

 

The aerial connection is a double fakra connection.

What offline map are you running?

 

I'm using Google maps atm as Im tethering off my phone but not sure which is a good offline one.

Have changed to the Skoda logo but its the older one just trying to fathom out how to put the newer one on ( eyes & brain are buggered !! ) Not sorted off line maps as it came with IGO installed, its great. More research

  As for doors & changing Logo ... go into  .... >factory settings->password:126->other, find the " Rudder" and choose it hit apply. I had to tick it & then go back into it and un tick it !!!

    Changing Logo .... same as above highlight the skoda badge hit apply & it will ask for reboot, didn't know if you figured this out, if you have i apologize...

If your doors are reversed try changing your location or language somewhere within the menus. I had a none android one that was the same, thought the car was left hand drive.

lol no probs, I was going to do the same to you!!

 

I had to contact Pumpkin to get the password and make the changes. Im thinking that the it would benefit from a MFSW so now Im looking into that! I didt have IGO installed in mines! 

Did you have Torque installed?  Also did you buy the OBD2 bluetooth dongle? I bought one but the unit wont pair with it!

 

@Nikonite: You have to go into the factory settings to correct it.
