Superskoda...anything else?

Featured Replies

Just making an order up for Superskoda extras for my S3 hatch when it arrives.

So far....

Rear rubber mats and tunnel cover

LED trunk lights

iPad holder and adapter

Is there something else you guys have ordered and I've missed?

Thanks,

Phil.

Mats for the boot? There are several types on superskoda.

First Aid kit, warning triangle, spare bulb kit

Maybe the door warning lights? The white ones they sell are 'kin bright!

They now do the proper Red and White Versions to replace the original fitment.

Yep, and a part of me wants them... The other part of me though thinks the RED and WHITE will mix into an odd pinkish tone... So I may just stick to the clean white.

  • 2 weeks later...

Placed my order with SuperSkoda on Monday afternoon and was delivered Thursday morning. Brilliant service. Just need the car now 1 week to wait

Ordered

Front & Rear mud flaps

Rubber mats

Tunnel protector

iPad holder and bracket

I'm thinking about getting the door sill protectors and maybe the rear bumper protector, but I'm not sure if I like the look of the latter.

Definitely want:

- rear tunnel mat

- folding boot mat (covers seat backs when they're down too)

- iPad holder and adapter

- rubber mats front and rear

Think I may upgrade bulbs to LEDs too, but will likely rest my wallet for a few months first :)

Some sort of protection for the top of the rear bumper is essential IMO. Loading stuff in and out of the boot junks the bumper in no time and makes the car look pretty scruffy, no matter how much you look after it.

You've got bright silver, matte silver or black to choose from, depending on hatch or estate. I went with brushed/matte silver and everyone thinks it's a factory fitted jobbie.

I've already knocked it a few times and it can take the punishment really well.

Thanks. I think you're right that it makes sense to have the protection on it. Your pictures were helpful, they showed it better than I'd seen before too.

So bright or matte silver against black paint. Hmmm... Choices choices.

Mine is Petrol blue and is therefore pretty dark. The silver really suits it (IMO), and everyone that has seen it agrees

If a coloured protector isn't your thing, let me throw another option into the mix: a clear polyurethane protector that'll look pretty much invisible on the car, and will offer protection against light to moderate scuffs.

I would still recommend a metal or plastic protector to guard against things like pets, pushchairs, kid's bikes, heavy tools etc.

I went with a metal bumper guard as I frequently have heavy equipment and refrigerant cylinders in and out of the boot and it's already paid for itself by fending off my vacuum pump on several occasions!

I thought it was petrol blue but was hard to tell on my phone lying bed last night. I think I prefer the matte but wonder if bright would match the chrome surrounds better? Probably not much in it really.

I had seen the clear protector too, thanks, but figured it would only offer minimal protection from something like a bag rubbing it say, so had ruled it out.

I was looking at one of these for boot protection.

I do want this too, but I don't want to unfold a flap every time I'm putting something in and out of the boots I was looking for the additional protection from a metal cover.

The reason I went with the matte version http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Combi-massive-stainless-steel-rear-bumper-protective-panel-V3-RS6-MATT-version to conceal any minor scratches that will undoubtedly show up after a while.

The polished version looks like it will show up scrapes and scratches faster than the brushed stainless version will. My stainless one still looks good, even though its had few scrapes so far.

It stood up to family holiday duties pretty well!

Good thinking and thanks for helping me to make my mind up. Added to my "will be ordering this list".

Family holidays is one thing, manoeuvring large, heavy IKEA boxes into is the ultimate challenge :) I broke one of the the side net things in the boot of my Octavia years ago when a Billy bookcase accidentally dropped onto it.

The flap is perfect for getting my dog in and out.

Very true, dogs can sometimes make a total hash of jumping in a car, meaning their hind legs scrabble and scrape against the top and back of the bumper.

I run an air conditioning business so I'm forever loading and unloading heavy nitrogen and refrigerant cylinders, vacuum pumps with sharp edges and such like. The stainless steel bumper protector also wraps over the edge of the bumper, which is the most vulnerable point of all.

The only downside I can find is the side edges and corners of the protector are a little sharp. Care is needed when washing the bumper!

I would rate the fitment at about 90% if i'm honest. If you look at the previous pictures, it protrudes at each end a little more than I'd like. But overall I am still very happy with it.

And damn those Billy bookcases........ :D

Aaaaaagh! IKEA. The Devil's shop dstev2000

Aaaaaagh! IKEA. The Devil's shop dstev2000

Their stuff has its place in life. The kids have some IKEA stuff in their bedroom, as kids being kids just wreck everything they touch.

But. It's a HATEFUL place to shop. I utterly despise visiting an IKEA. It's either Southampton or Croydon for us..........

And......CRAP!

All this talk of Superskoda, and looking around the site has meant more spending  :D

Front rubber floor mats (already got the rear mats and i'm impressed with them)

Red and white LED door safety lights

vRS style pedals

And a Superb branded note book.......because why not?  :peek:

Just need to try and sneak this lot past SWMBO.......again.....

Mine is Petrol blue and is therefore pretty dark. The silver really suits it (IMO), and everyone that has seen it agrees

I'm going for the film protector, NOT the Skoda one.

You get genuine 3M film for a 1/3 less than that.

I'll be getting it done in the next few weeks.
