Superskoda...anything else?

The film one - 3M or otherwise - wouldn't be strong enough for me to be fair. Probably ok if the boot isn't used for work like mine

I agree, horses for courses.

The only downside I can find is the side edges and corners of the protector are a little sharp. Care is needed when washing the bumper!

I would rate the fitment at about 90% if i'm honest. If you look at the previous pictures, it protrudes at each end a little more than I'd like. But overall I am still very happy with it.

And damn those Billy bookcases........ :D

Yet another reason why I'm quite happy to pay someone else to clean my car for me. Mainly laziness, but this too.

A little protruding or potentially a scratch or dent? It's a shame it's not a more snug fit, but if it saves expensive/unsightly damage then I'll accept it. Especially after doing such damage with a sofabed before. And 90% is pretty damn happy!

Aaaaaagh! IKEA. The Devil's shop dstev2000

I quite like Ikea...not the experience of actually shopping there so much, but some of the furniture is pretty good for the price, like the solid wood stuff. It's also very convenient being less than 10 minutes away in Coventry. Ok, it's not "proper" furniture but it's a fraction of the cost too. And most importantly, I love their meatballs and gravy! :D

Yep I'll give you that the meatballs chips and gravy are worth the visit :)

I was thinking of getting some LED boot lights and the new red/white LED door lights from superskoda. How easy are these to swap over? will I need any special tools?

There is a Superskoda video on YouTube showing how it's done. Very easy.

The door lights were easier, just need a small flathead screwdriver to pop the original light out, mine came out in two pieces, plastic cover and base piece containing the bulb.

Boot lights for the combi/estate are in the boot "door/lid", not inside the boot like in the superskoda pictures. Removing was as easy as with the door lights, just use small flathead. Superskoda replacement LED lights were slightly too large for the opening, so I had to carve out few mm of plastic with carpet knife to get the lights to pop in. From outside the boot LED lights look exactly like Octavia LED lights, but wiring/plug is different and Octavia LED light does not have correct plug.

I'm going for the film protector, NOT the Skoda one.

You get genuine 3M film for a 1/3 less than that.

I'll be getting it done in the next few weeks.

Forget that I actually took the time to read the thread and low and behold it was there right in front of my lazy eyes
