The 230 Club, who's in...............

Featured Replies

Pick mine up tomorrow, red hatch winter pack,DSG. To say I'm like a kid at Christmas is an understatement.

Ffs im 59.

I can remember being excited about collecting a Mondeo V6 when I was 61, & that was a while ago...........

When we collected the Golf this year it wasn't quite the same, & it's stayed that way.

'tis strange, but I still prefer my SuperB.

Maybe we should have ordered a 230 after all !

The 230 is only £730 more than a Standard 220 ( hatch ) and with so much extra kit it's well worth the extra cash.Leather, heated seats, folding eletric mirrors, black pack, sunset glass, fancy front

  • No. I got the 230 for the diff and financially it made sense based on the other kit you get thrown in vs a 220. Spec a 220 with to match a 230 and it'll cost you more. The additional 10bhp was irrelev

Is that a standard car or with factory options. Decent turnaround time.

Just the standard one. They have been excellent all the way through. I'm doing the £259 a month lease for 2 years.

Good one!

Just put my order in delivery time is anything up to 16 weeks. So long to wait. Red with couple of extras.

Apparently it comes with a colour coded rear spoiler. I saw a demo one in red with a black spoiler I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Well, got a phone call from my dealer yesturday to say it's on the way to the UK and then another call this morning to say it's at the dealers! D elivery was for 31st August so dipped in there, but away on holiday at the moment so it will have to wait until next week! Gutted! Lol.

Ordered 15th may.

Sorry, duplicate post.

You got in before the week 22 cut off. Ordered mine 2 weeks later and now waiting until the end of October.

Ordered mine 4th May, 'possibly' build week commencing 2nd Aug :-(

Ordered mine 19th May, I was told a build week of 31, when ever that is, hope it's not 2031 I'll be dead   :S

Mine should be being built this week.

I'm out, I'm afraid.

Just ordered a Focus 2.0 ST3 Ecoboost Navigation with extras.  247bhp, 0-62 in 6.5 seconds and 154mph top speed.

£28,200 RRP, DriveTheDeal will supply it for just over £23,000 on finance.

A woman I work with has an identical model and she reckons she gets 36mpg driving the same way to work that I do.

I get 43mpg out of my 184bhp turbo diesel.

Yes, road tax will be higher (until next year when the diesel-cripple tax kicks in) but I guess I'm in for a lot more fun....especially with the local chavs in their souped-up skippy-mobiles who think they are Lewis Hamilton at every set of lights.

Plus I'm looking forward to beating my M5 Exeter J30 to M4 Tormarton J18 time (91 miles, 51 minutes).........but don't tell my wife who seems to have some sort of OCD resulting in her uttering the phrase "slow down, I don't want to die" every time the speedometer registers more than about 90mph.

You could beat that in most cars - just depends on how much you want to throw your licence away

Off the wall question, but has anyone who has a 230, wished they hadn't bought one for any reason ( because of the car itself and not personal circumstances ). Any negatives that you weren't expecting?

No. Its a good car I think.

Some roadnoise on motorway at 80 mph and up.

My car has only done 3000 miles though.

No regrets - its a great car with great spec. Surprisingly quick too for 'only' 230hp - I suspect it produces more than book figure

I agree :)

Several mk7 gti pp producing 250bhp standard on various dynos

Yes my 184bhp diesel does seem quicker than the published figures.

But, conversely, the mpg is definitely lower than the published figures.

What you gain on the swings, you lose on the roundabouts I guess?
