Hi TGR - yes you do need to do this. It simply tunes the pedal box to your accelerator pedal. Don't start the engine, simply turn on the ignition and follow the instructions. Simples!

Cool. Just fitted the pedal box and been for a test drive.

 

Wow! An excellent and effective improvement to an already awesome car. Car now feels perfect. I'm liking the City +2 setting. Sport is just a bit silly. Haven't even tried Sport+.

 

Was very easy to fit by removing the small storage tray on the right for access. The connections mate like they were meant to. Box is stowed away in the tray. Nice.

 

I highly recommend this piece of kit.
