Glow Plug Module?

Featured Replies

So i bought a Fabia VRS MK1 a couple of weeks ago and the engine light was on since i went to view it, i scanned it yesterday and it said glow plug module. I erased the code and all was fine til later that night the light came back on again. Today i looked under the bonnet and found that the glow plug module was unplugged, weird i thought - so i plugged it back in and started the car and it idled at 1,000RPM.. (It has not revved this high on idle since ive owned it) is it normal to idle this high on start up? I unplugged it again and started the car and it idled normally again. I let the car warm up and plugged it back in and it idles fine again so im going to erase the code and see if it comes back.

But does your fabia idle at 1k on start up?

Thanks!

I've never known any of the VAG 1.9D family idle that high.
