nice car 😎

something is not quite running true with those 1/4 mile times

with consistent 15.5's and 89mph teminals I think your down on bhp from your 204bhp (somewhere around 180bhp range)

I had a rr proven 200bhp on my mk1 fabia vrs and I was able to run 14.4s 1/4 mile with a 97mph terminal

unless the mk2 fabia is substantially heavier than the mk1 but with the 1.6 derv I wouldn't think so 🤷‍♂️

so maybe have picked up an issue somewhere

maybe so but terminal speed shows the cars true potential no matter how rubbish you get off the line, so terminal mph is the cars true speed not time

The car has trapped in the 90’s before. There was a 23mph head wind that day with gusts up to 35mph

With 204bhp should be easy mid 90’s consistently if not almost hitting the magical 100mph

Must be special car to hit 100mph in the 1/4 on a non prepped surface with a 20 odd mph headwind.....

if you use the calculators based on perfect conditions the 1/8 is bang on but the 1/4 is down which again due to the headwind.

I’ve only been to santapod the once. At the time the car didn’t have a diff and was 197bhp or there abouts. Blistering hot day, so loads of heat soak. Think my terminal was in the 80s.

Will try to find my printout.

I’ve got all my data logs to look at so know where there’s time to be made and lost 😂

the cars did 0-60 in 6.7 but at Crail due to the surface it averages 7.3

oh well god knows maybe my car rr'd low

saying that 2 separate rr's gave me 199 and 200bhp and my best was a 14.4s with 97mph terminal, that was 2nd gear launch, consistently hit mid 90 mph terminals though

2nd gear launches don’t work for me. The vRS probably has shorter ratios as it’s a 6 speed rather than a 5 speed.

Mines been on 3 dyno’s and did 204 on one,203 on another and the third measure whp rather than fly hp and that was 177whp which converted to Fly Hp is 203.5

that pd150 you were up against in the video's is that a 150 stock turbo or a 150 hybrid cause you should be pulling away if its on stock pd150 turbo

What video? If it’s the black fabia then it’s a 2260

I raced it before when it had a PD150 hybrid a while back and out ran it but he’s went to the 2260 and is waiting to get the 120+ injectors to take it to 300bhp

Found the video of when it had a PD150 hybrid. Guy had just bought it and was told it was 220bhp. I was 195bhp at the time as didn’t have the full exhaust system.

Here it is

reaction time was pretty poor. Was at a big car show and didn’t want to stall it lol.

room for improvement anyway

Mine was a pd150 hybrid and only made 199/200bhp and was mapped by richard washbrook so maybe thats all a 150 hybrid actually really can ever make

Going back in time now

Yup 195bhp was before the map.

then it made 200bhp after the map

where i got it mapped there was no rolling road so at the next opportunity i got it rr’d and it made 200bhp. Whether it picked up an issue (boost leak) or something else i don’t know. I got it remapped at ADS in preston and the map was written by Richard Washbrook and he was apparently at the time the guru for these cars.

I lost interest soon after

and the 14.4s 97mph terminal was made on the original 195bhp map with a 2nd gear launch i was talking about and I have even found a picture, no picture of slip though, this is going back 10-11 years
