I think its the position in the car as opposed to the charging itself that causes this.

I've got the charger and booster and it gives me a better signal than if it isn't in there and it charges well.

I envy you. My Edition doesn't get here till the 23rd so Skoda have decided to remove the booster and refund me £280.
