Just an urban myth then that thieves ignore houses with a skoda in the drive,  nothing much worth taking in the property.

37 here. Hopefully won't have turned 38 by the time my karoq turns up!

  • I'm 53 and proud of it.   Kitten and I LOVE our Yeti, the only reason why we're getting rid of it is because it has a diesel engine, and we feel that we will be targeted in the near future

  • I'm 64 and wife is 62.   Bought Yeti for it's practicality, good value and VW underpinnings. Neighbour who has an Evoque said my Yeti was ugly!    My wife has a Mini Cooper S and m

That's what the house alarm is for to keep them moving onto a less secure property.

60 and 62 in this house. Wife's first Skoda. was a bit surprised she went for the Karoq as its a lot bigger than what she is driving . Delighted tho.

Apparently on longer hauls I'll get to drive :D

60, and need life’s comforts and since I do a lot of miles the Karoq really does fit the bill.

  • 1 month later...

74 and have had Yeti's for 9 years. Needed to switch to automatic for health related issues. Thought the T-Roc would be just the ticket, as Karoqs were more than 6 month delivery. The T-Roc was fun to drive (190 hp petrol with 4M) but not as good as the Yeti - by a long shot.

So we were lucky to find a 4x4 Karoq with all the do-dads for immediate delivery. Picking it up Tuesday.

49 and first Skoda and first SUV.   Probably the car I’ve most looked forward to in my 30 years of car ownership.

One more of 74, looking down on automatics in general ... well, not so much after having test-driven a DSG.  :wondering:

Karoq drivers are just a bit older than Ex Yeti drivers

Never wanted an SUV but wife wanted a used BMW X5 but not keen on the most wanted to steal front and high running costs, so bought her brand new Karoq SEL without even test driving one and it's absolutely brilliant. Better than a friends BMW X1 and more than £10,000 cheaper, bonus!

Me and my partner both 27 and this is my first Skoda and my first SUV. Can't say I have ever considered getting one until the last 10 months. Having a little one changes your priorities!

Compared to my old 3 door BMW the Karoq is an absolute dream. Easy to get the little one in/out and he enjoys the pano sunroof more than anything else in the world, or so it seems! Not only that but the boot space is great for toys/buggy etc when he visits Grandma and Granddad!

Sounds like another pipe smoker to?

Auric - thanks, it is a wonderful colour, soon as I saw it in the show room I had to have it! Being the Black Edition the wheels and other black bits contrast nicely with the body colour.

ShyVRS245 - no it's just the TT. I say just, it's still got 207bhp which is plenty, especially for a roadster, where part of the fun is having the roof down. It goes really well and is a joy to drive and as with most cars it's difficult to use anywhere near the performance. The colour is Samoa Orange which you see on the odd Audi Q series and think they use it  on the SEAT Ateca.

I give it the odd run through the winter but it's coming into its own now with days out etc. to National Trust places etc. and holidays. Bought it as a keeper for when I retire which isn't far away now and currently work part-time.

Picture of it with the roof down last year.5afefacb21708_Roofdown.jpg.2a14493f4871d8216ef47c986ae27a13.jpg

Yeah thought it was Samoa once saw Audi S1 in a showroom looked stunning. Those wheels and that rear spoiler confused me but the whole package works really well together. You SIR have very good TASTE!B)

Thanks, it was one of the last Mk. 2's (which I wanted as has traditional instruments) and to give it the full title is an Amplified Black Edition with the additional nice black bits and separate twin exhausts. The wheels and spoiler are also used on the RS. The fuel filler flap would have looked nice in black as well which some guys have done.

I like orange, I have an orange motorbike as well!

Ex, yes.

Gave up after 49 years of "wisdom from the lips of the philosopher...", according to Thackeray.  :)

I will be 63 when I get my 1.5 SEL DSG.

I'm 57 and the General are 52, we got ours Friday.

Im 33 and with 2 young children and the Mrs having put up with sports suspension on the last 3 cars I thought it was time for a change.

I wanted something more comfortable, different than another estate and wanted to change back to petrol as I just dont do the miles. Ive always fancied an SUV but not came across an affordable one that I've liked or which has had a big enough boot (qashqai).

Im moving on from an Octavia Vrs estate which has been a fantastic all rounder and will be sad to see it go.

Plus my wife will be on the road soon and the Karoq will be cheaper to get her insured on and easier to drive on that blue moon occasion ;)

Same age and a very similar story!

51 and my first steps into the SUV market (Karoq due this Friday !!), my wife (47) is absolutely gutted that the Yeti is being replaced as she loves hers so much, looks like she's moving away from Skoda for the first time in over 10 years !

52 today

And not regretting getting the Karoq, love it to bits, was sad to see my Octavia Elegance go and I relived my youth with the Fabis vRS mk2 before that looking forward to having a bit of fun in this at the end of June.

When the wife takes delivery, she'll be sad to see the yeti go as she really loves it, but I think she'll enjoy the 201bhp
