I have a 2009 Fabia and I know in the manual it says RON 95/91 won't benefit from better fuel grade, but is this true? I know there are supreme or super unleaded at pumps, does it make any difference to the performance to my 1.2 HTP?

 

What additives do you recommend?

No performance change.

No additives required.

 

Keep the oil fresh for the benefit of the timing chain, carry a cheap scan tool and a spare pencil coilpack, relax.

Don't waste money on super fuels and steer clear of additives.

 

Been there, done that, waste of money (fuel) and potentially damaging (additives), as witnessed first hand on 2 x 1.2 htp fabias.

 

His last sentence is also spot on. Fresh oil, and a spare coilpak (plus read up/practice how to change it in case it fails in the middle of nowhere as one eventually will.
